The Dept of Design

Both Kier and also Tiffany helped us out immensely with the building of our new house. This was a process we had never entered into before and were really overwhelmed with the amount of things we were meant to choose/decide on. The guys at the DOD were amazing, helping us out not only on the matters we knew about, but they were always happy to help us out with other little things that came up (and these were always "urgent" for us but this never worried the guys). 10/10 would recommend (and do) - and would 100% use them again.

Kier and the Team have designed a number of different spaces for me over the last few years; my own home, commercial entities I have worked for, and more recently our own brand new commercial "home away from home" real estate office. Without fail she has met my brief and very high expectations on every level, including but not limited to the look, workflow, efficiency and warmth of each space. Her design elements and selections are contemporary and suitable for the space she is given to work with (every time!). Furnishings are beautiful and tastefully suited to every story we strive to project! I'm an absolute raving fan and have recommended her and the Team to many others who also rave about her results. Amazing and HIGHLY recommended!

Based on personal and professional recommendations, we contacted Kier at The Department of Design and we were so glad that we did. They listened closely to our wishes for a clean and streamlined design and provided us with a plethora of ideas which were compelling, practical and within budget. Throughout the design process, Kier and her team enthusiastically engaged with our vision, and made the entire process smoother than we could have imagined. Having the experience of The Department of Design certainly made us feel that we were in more than capable hands. Between Kier, Sarah and Louise, someone was always there to educate us about the latest products, assist with all the decisions and to lend an opinion when we wanted one. Perhaps most importantly, they were confident enough to inform us when a product, colour etc. didn't align with our vision (OK, no lime green feature wall in the study this time). Though the bulk of the design work was completed before signing of the building contract, Kier and are team are still happily providing advice during the construction phase, to ensure that we end up with the best result possible. It's that sort of dedication that makes working with The Department of Design a real pleasure, and we recommend them (and have recommended them already to others) without hesitation. Do yourself a favour and give them a call - you have nothing to lose but that hideous feature wall in your study!

We have collaborated on several projects (large and small) with Kier and her team in the past couple years. We are always impressed with the sophisticated and well documented designs they come up. We look forward to working together in the future.

We worked with Louise and team over a couple of months to develop a staged renovation that fitted our capacity and budget. They got our design intent intent straight away and it has been a real pleasure to work with them. They facilitated access to experts (such as structural engineers) who obviously held this firm in high regard. Great experience that has allowed us to commence our renovation with confidence.

Kier and her amazing team continually bring their clients dreams and briefs to life with individuality, flair and attention to detail. Between them, Kier and Louise have designed 3 bathrooms, a kitchen and remodelled the layout of our beachhouse for us. The results have been stunning every time.
