Dorothy Greenlee designed and implemented a new fresh look for our family room, living room, bedroom and music room. Dorothy is a natural, she is easy to work with and open to our ideas and feedback. The process was enjoyable and stressless, the end result perfect, functional and the look we were after.

Dorothy (Dot) has led several projects for us. Most recently, we completely remodeled our kitchen, adding 400 square feet to our home. The project was a major construction project that took several months. Dot acted as the designer, decorator and project manager. Dot did all of the designs, worked with an architect, an engineering firm, and led the selection process for a general contractor. Throughout the project, she was outstanding at keeping everyone on the same page and keeping us informed of the overall progress, challenges, and the timeline. My family is thrilled with the end result, and there is no question this project was worth the investment to our home. We will be starting another project with Dot and her team later in 2015, and we look forward to working with her on additional projects in the future. Dot is extremely creative, conscientious, collaborative, and most importantly, she does not hesitate to give difficult feedback - something that's definitely appreciated when you're discussing changing the look and feel of your home. Dorothy Greenlee is one of the most ethical and professional people I have ever met. When I first met Dot, I was just starting my own business and she was so helpful, supportive and encouraging that I became a member of the Interior Design Society in Dallas Fort Worth of which she was president at the time. In addition, I hired Dot to help me get my business set up and coach me on best practices for the business of design. She taught me how to structure my books, set up my budget, and how to manage client expectations as I work though projects. She has a wealth of knowledge that she willingly shares with her peers. In addition, she does beautiful design work and has many, many clients that come back to her time and time again!

Dot is awesome! I was lucky enough to find her over 6 years ago. She has worked on multiple projects for me and I have been over the moon with everything. She has done projects for me both big and small and takes the time to listen and really focuses on the results you desire!

Dot offers a great service. I have used multiple designers in the past and she stands out as the best I have used. Dot has creative ideas, can work with any design style, and does not push her own ideas or style on her clients. She works with you to understand your style and vision and then puts the pieces of the puzzle together. Dot communicates effectively, has fair prices, is resourceful and manages multiple projects well without letting things slip. I highly recommend Greenlee Designs!

Worked with dot for years. Absolutely the best interior design contractor in the DFW area. Patient, detailed and passionate about her work. Don't trust your biggest investment to just anyone. Hire the best.

Far too many issues to list here. Some good contractors (paint, cabinetry, carpentry) some horrible (tile, electrician). Wretched contractor management all round. Awful project planning. Does not appear to understand concept of critical path or limiting variable. Takes on projects that seem to be WAY over her head and then quits before job is complete. Might be fine for picking out furniture and rugs but anything beyond that, I highly recommend you find someone else.

My husband had used Dot before while building a house for his company. She'd done such a fantastic job there, I brought her over to help w/our kitchen remodel. Turns out she and I had similar tastes, so our French Country farmhouse kitchen remodel went beautifully. Dot spent a lot of time asking questions and helped me nail down what look I wanted while considering our daily lives and big, busy family. Then she set up appointments and went with us to pick out appliances, granite, etc. She also helped us figure out what colors we should us in the kitchen and the other rooms in the downstairs that needed freshening up. Can't tell you how pleased we've been with her warm manner and great ideas.

Very happy with our room designs. Dot met all of our room requirements and stayed within the budget that we agreed to before hand. She was always friendly and easy to work with. I would use her again.

We enjoyed working with Dot and her team on creating a contemporary look for our new home. She listens to her customers and finds creative ways to ensure that the decor is beautiful and is within the budget. My boyfriend and I hired her with the understanding that she would be the tie breaker when he and I had a difference off opinion on something. It worked perfectly. Dot is patient, has excellent taste, and will do the research to find unique things to make your home beautiful. Hiring a decorator is investment. You have to weight the cost of hiring a professional that has access to thousand of books and materials to your time and what you can find. As two very busy people, we found her invaluable in saving us time and showing us things that we would have never thought to use. We recommend her and would use her again.

Talk about rank newbies to professional interior design... our picture should be next to the definition in the dictionary! We had decided to stay in our home of 36 years rather than move...and wanted a complete remodel to freshen everything up. We'd always had a vague "coastal" vibe going, since we've been sailors and scuba divers who relished all things ocean and the sea. But our space was old, tired and in need a NEW (design AND furniture). We lucked into finding Dot and I do mean LUCK. What a practical, sweet, down to earth, "regular" person with an extremely HIGH talent and creativity level! She very patiently led us through ideas, design, planning and came up with design things neither of us could have EVER thought of on our own. Yet...she allowed us choices and injection of what WE loved....we so appreciated that! Dot was very considerate of our budget and always tried to be our advocate with contractors and crews who did much of the heavy lifting. She knew people who could get things done we never thought COULD be done, too! The result is a home we are now proud to invite friends and family to - so much more comfortable and inviting, de-cluttered and clean (every room has been painted, re-wallpapered, new floors - new drapes, curtains, granite, much new furniture...but we were able to keep some pieces as well). We would be proud to recommend Dot for any type interior design job, from large to small. She listens and she executes. Thank you for everything, Dot!

Dot has been helping me decorate my homes now for almost 10 years. Her eye for detail is amazing and I love the way she recommends items that fit my home's style and not her personal style. She keeps her recommendations in line with the overall feel of my home. But my second favorite thing about her, which really "ties" for the very favorite, is that she reuses items in my home from other areas that I no longer use. That keeps my expenses way down, even when we have to purchase a few items to "update" the item that we're reusing. The favorite room in my home is my little 5 yr old's "princess" room. I gave her some ideas and she ran with it making it a true princess room complete with a crown over her bed with chandelier and all! Dot is very good and shopping around until she's found exactly what I'm looking for (and for me, that can be a lengthy process). She has more patience than anyone else I know... which is good for her profession. I would highly recommend her for any decorating job!
