About Us

Duane Erb Construction was incorporated by Duane Erb in 1992. Since then, we have been located in the north end of Waterloo, mainly completely projects in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and the sounding areas. We believe a great project is all in the details! We take great pride in our team, and the high level of detail and workmanship they bring to each project. In addition to our team at Duane Erb, we have been completing projects alongside the same great sub trades for many years. As a contractor, we believe that solid relationships with sub trades that have grown to know the quality we demand is a key piece to a smooth seamless renovation. Whether you are renovating your entire home, adding on, or simply remodeling a room, we strive to ensure that you are comfortable and informed throughout the entire process. Part of our strategy for keeping this process as straight-forward as possible is our implementation of BuilderTrend software. We know our clients are on the go, and this intuitive web app (usable on your phone, tablet or computer) provides a perfect interface for work order alterations, price changes and more. We are incredibly pleased with the back entrance and porch that Duane Erb Construction built for us - in fact it is even better than we imagined. Jamey, Caleb and Twila were friendly, professional, and great to work with on site. We appreciated feedback and suggestions we were given as the project developed. Darren was always attentive to our questions along the way. We have had many compliments and are enjoying our backyard space so much more now. Thanks for a job well done. Connie and Nick

We were very happy with our renovation with Duane erb. Darren and Mike made really good suggestions for things we wouldn’t have thought of but are so happy they had the foresight to see. They also had excellent attention to detail. They called back other trades to fix things we didn’t even notice. There was a high level of trust throughout the process and we would definitely want them for our next renovation and highly recommend them.

Duane Erb was great to work with. The schedule of your project is always up to date so you know when everything is going to be done, and when the project will be finished. I found the employees to be professional, helpful and personable. Great attention to detail - they only do work at the highest level. I found the project software they use to be straight forward, and asking for new estimates as the project moves along, and being able to sign off on those projects, is quite easy. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Each time Duane Erb Construction completes a project at my home, I think each is even better than the previous project. The recently completed Laundry Room project is the absolute best! From quoting to completion, integrity, respect, superb workmanship and attention to detail are evident. It is difficult to imagine my next project will best the Laundry Room, but it will! Can't wait!

In early 2021, we had a large renovation to our home performed by Duane Erb Construction Inc. (DECI) in Waterloo, ON. They created a fine design and then undertook remodelling of two bathrooms, one powder room, and one large kitchen/breakfast room. The quality of their work, pricing, and communication were entirely to our satisfaction, and the project was completed on time, and on budget. They were tidy and thoughtful of our needs while their work was underway, and interactions were always congenial and professional. We recommend DECI without reservation.

We recently had a deck and front porch replacement completed by Duane Erb Construction. From the initial quote through completion we were very satisfied. The completed project met our expectations completely and without reservation. The tradesmen were professional, clean and asked before moving forward with anything they had question about. We look forward to working together with this company on our next interior renovation. Highly recommend.

We entrusted a significant deck renovation project to Duane Erb Construction and we were overjoyed with the outcome. They took out our old interlocking brick patio and roof overhang and built a fantastic new raised deck with gabled roof. The roof was tied into the existing structures and the deck was fitted with steps, an aluminum railing, ceiling fan, LED lights, outlets, privacy screen and recessed panel columns. The attention to detail was outstanding and Jamey in particular went above and beyond to ensure everything was done just right. The communication was timely. The team made excellent suggestions that we decided to incorporate as well, resulting in an even better finished product. The design and craftsmanship is impeccable and all visitors to see the work are very impressed. We asked lots of questions and the team was very patient and willing to explain how/why things were being done a certain way. Jamey, Darren, Mike, Twila and the other folks from Duane Erb were great to work with and they come with our highest recommendation.

We are thrilled with our laundry and washrooms renovation as completed by Duane Erb Construction Inc.. Everyone involved in the project was courteous, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. Nothing less than perfect. If it isn't their motto, it should be. This company is professional, knowledgeable, creative, personable, and super capable. Their work ethic is wonderful, and the workmanship is incredible. They are able to solve any problem that comes up (and you KNOW there will be something that comes up - in our case, structural issues etc). We feel safe and secure in our home knowing it was completed so thoroughly and so beautifully. We will be hiring again for sure! Our project was replacing all windows and doors, all new board and batton siding, insulation, porch and deck railings, decking and steps.

Beyond their excellent workmanship, the reason we chose Duane Erb from amongst top tier local construction firms was for the ease of communication—feeling our input was heard accurately. Throughout our year-long renovation, starting in September 2019, and extending well into COVID, we continued to appreciate excellent levels of communication as our accessible addition with basement was built, sagging front porch and dormer were rebuilt, insulation added, kitchen redone (through Chervin), and metal roof added. We were given adequate time and direction for making choices. Change orders were clearly discussed and pricing was transparent. When problems arose, we felt heard, and saw the issues addressed. Our Duane Erb team, led by foreman Mike, delivered outstanding craftsmanship in matching our 1920’s style woodwork and throughout the job. We highly recommend Duane Erb.

Duane Erb Construction have been doing my renovation projects for several years now, and I no longer think of anyone else. My most recent project was the largest I've ever done with them--a major renovation of my main floor, with some work that extended to the outside (patio, porch, steps, planters), including removal of walls, complete reconfiguration of the space, duct work, electrical, plumbing, new kitchen, insulation: the whole nine yards. And all of this during a pandemic! (the work was begun in January 2020 and was fully completed in August, with a few odds and ends being finished over the summer due to various delays related to COVID-19). I cannot say enough about Duane, Darren, Slade, Twila and the whole team. They are simply outstanding. The trades they work with always deliver in the most professional manner; the standard of work is impeccable. Top drawer and recommended without reservation!

Commented: countertopsThe countertop are marble, as is the backsplash. The homeowner sourced the marble tops them selves, so I am unsure of the exact color.
