When I first bought my condo, I wanted Mammolian floors as they are earth-friendly. My son an d his wife raved about it and Earth First so I had them install it in two bathrooms. HOWEVER, it turned out to be a terrible decision! The under-flooring is cement and they didn't apply any sealant to it to protect the wood-based Mammolian. Marks have appeared through the flooring ruining the look of the flooring and all I was told is that it was bad cement. A contractor told me there is no excuse for their not knowing what would be the impact of not sealing the cement from moisture before applying. Also they used a cheap caulk around the edges which hasn't stuck and has big gaps where there should be none. I am VERY disappointed in this work and will not refer anyone to this company whose product may be excellent but the worksmanship was shabby and costly to me. Now I have to replace these two floors which I paid dearly to have installed in my new home.

Not only is Earth First an independently-owned business, its ecologically-minded business model and products allow me to shop with a clear conscience for myself, my family and the environment. I replaced 30-year old carpeting with an excellent plant-based carpet in a caramel hue. The expertise and friendliness of the carpet layers were an added bonus. I am a more-than-satisfied customer.

I had the flooring in my kitchen and in my 2 bathrooms replaced. I chose Earth First Flooring because I wanted to be sure that I was choosing environmentally friendly materials. Cork was recommended as a good material for a kitchen floor. I chose one that I thought would look good. I notice that the cork floor is warmer in cold weather with my feet covered only by socks. I chose marmoleum for the bathrooms. I found a pattern that I love. I received friendly, knowledgeable customer service in the store, a visit for measurement and an estimate a couple days later and installation arranged to coincide with the delivery of a new refrigerator. I was particularly pleased with the installers sent by the store. I am a very contented customer.

I bought my tile here for three reasons; they are in my neighborhood, the price was better than the very same tile elsewhere, and they promote planet-friendly products. I did not originally contract with Earth First to install the tile, however, as my general contractor said he was really good with tile and enjoyed installing it. (t turned out that my general could not install the tile, after all, and offered me a credit to have someone else do it, I went back to Earth First to see if they could rescue me. And rescue they did. They quickly put together a team who could do it immediately -- for less money than the general offered to get out of it. All three of the people they sent were a delight to have in the house, took pride in their work, coordinated with each other, and provided quality tile work I that makes me smile every time I walk into the room. The man who installed the toilet said he thinks it is the best-looking bathroom in town. (Not the fanciest, mind you! ) Would I use Earth First again? Already did. Had them back to refinish a wood floor. Different people, but the same results. Reasonable price, prompt, took pride in their work, and I get compliments on the floor.
