I had the pleasure of working with Mark Manning and his crew when Farallon Construction was selected to be the general contractor for The 2011 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, a stunning home in Pacific Heights with majestic views of the San Francisco Bay. Mark's crew seamlessly handled every stage of the massive remodel of many spaces, including the Master Bath which I was selected for. Mark, his crew, and his project manager were all the utmost in professional and worked beautifully together on a very tight completion schedule to get the entire house remodeled on time. The before, during, and after photos I have of the project are a nice reminder of how smoothly they worked together to transform my vision for the space into reality. This is a wonderful 5 star General Contractor to work with.

We hired Farallon in late 2010 for a major remodeling project of our single-family house in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. This was a big investment for us and choosing a contractor that would deliver on time and budget was critical. Even before we signed with Farallon, they spent a lot of time with us and our architect to help us evaluate options and get the most out of our investment. They really helped us understand the process, what could be achieved, what couldn't and at what cost. When it was time to select a contractor, we compared several companies and Farallon provided the most detailed estimate of the project. No sales pitch, no big promises, no "trust me", just very factual stuff. The proposal was the most transparent, and for instance included actual estimates from their subcontractors. Throughout the project, Farallon exhibited a high level of professionalism. No bad surprises, and very straightforward advice when decision was required. I don't know anything about construction, but I know something about delivering on complex projects with many dependencies, unknowns, and pressure to deliver a high quality product (I do software development). Farallon to me felt like they were planning and delivering on our construction project as I would do on a software development project. I have recommended Farallon to several people since then, and I would hire them again if the opportunity presents itself.

Mark Manning and his team at Farallon completed two projects for me. One was a master bath remodel, the second was a major house renovation. Mark is 100% involved, a team player and extremely efficient. What makes him unique in my book is his strong aesthetic sense coupled with his ability to quickly problem solve with budget in mind. We highly recommend Farallon and would use them again and again in the future. We recently remodeled our home in Kentwoodlands and had the tricky design goal of keeping some of the original 1950's character but totally modernize all of the interiors and add an extension for a master bathroom. Farallon seemed to understand the spirit of what we wanted very quickly and immersed themselves in all the details of making it happen. They are very good at understanding the fine details prior to starting work, things that your architect or designer might not catch, and this attention to detail helped us accurately define our budget beforehand instead of having it come up as surprise in the end. Being able to rely on their upfront knowledge to narrow down our budget allowed us to make important design choices so we didn't compromise our overall goal. We could not have done it with anybody else, and trust me we have worked with many others...they are very good.

We have only the highest of praise, and can confidently recommend Farallon Construction for any construction or remodel project. Mark and his crew completed a very extensive high end remodel of our 1894 Victorian house in San Francisco. The project was well managed, the team kept us very involved throughout the process, and we had no surprises. The project scope included steel structural and foundation work, extensive framing work, complete kitchen and bath remodel, hardwood floor installation, level 5 wall and ceiling re-plastering, as well as a complete re-do of our front entryway. Every detail was completed with meticulous care, from the perfection of the framing down to the tiniest detail on finished carpentry. Whenever guests see the house for the first time they are amazed at the quality of the work. We have been living in the finished space for over a year and are still amazed every time we step back and take it all in. We can not recommend Farallon highly enough. I have had GREAT experiences with Farallon Construction, 3 remodels and counting... First, was a major 8 month remodel on my home in Corte Madera in '05. Second, was a full restoration of my Victorian duplex investment property in Noe Valley in '08. Third, was an interior update to a 1920's Craftsmen gem in Sausalito in '09 which was my family home.
