The project faced many challenges including difficulty securing permits as well as responding to the County’s design requirements. David’s persistence and knowledge of the County personnel facilitated resolution of these issues.

It doesn't get any better than Fritz Harris-Glade. He is hands-down the best architect and design professional we have ever worked with. We have built 4 custom homes and worked with many architects and design professionals over the years and none come close to Fritz's capability for guidance and vision. In designing a custom home, there can be the tendency for the architect to impose his will on your project. Not Fritz! He did an outstanding job of guiding us to realize and improve our dream home while completely keeping our vision intact. The home we are working with him on is in Hawaii. Building your own home anywhere can be a challenge, but building in Hawaii poses many additional challenges with extensive regulations and permitting. Fritz is extremely knowledgeable in navigating the requirements of building a home in Hawaii and ensuring that the project moves forward successfully. It would have been extremely difficult to do without Fritz. He is patient, knowledgeable, skilled and without a doubt the best choice we could have made for the project.

I'm building a house on a three-acre Mana farm lot in Waimea on the Big Island for my son and his family. The home was designed by Fritz Harris -Glade of FHG Architects. The building is being done by JHB construction and the cedar home was purchased from Hamill Creek in Canada. I truly love the design of the home with all the attention to detail that Fritz applied. It includes a three-bedroom, three-bath main house with a two-bedroom, one-bath attached apartment. I would recommend FHG architects to anyone who wants a truly unique and exceptional home. I intend on having Fritz also design a warehouse and business complex on our commercial property in Kamuela. With luck, we should be able to finish the project by the summer of 2022.

Bless Fritz! I own a home in Kailua Kona that he was the original architect on. I was not the original owner. Due to unforseen circumstances, I needed to rehire him 12 years later to help with a project. Fritz had retained our original plans in pristine form and was able to directly perform the needed upgrades and state needed plans to revise our home. In addition, Fritz was aware of the new laws and was able to provide us and the state with the proper needs. This is amazing since he had moved to a different state in the meantime. Fritz made all of the difference 12 years later. He clearly stood by his work, understood the new aspects of the past plans and generally saved us from having to redo costly labors. Our home continues to be a truly beautiful and serene place in the tropics of Hawaii thanks to his first drawings and his updates and knowledge well down the road. Mahalo.

Fritz worked as our architect and our engineer. He was vary patient with all of our changes as work progressed. Hawaii is a taught place to build. But with Fritz's help we got the house done. We are still in the process of finishing the pool and landscaping. Fritz's will be helping us with the design and permitting. We are vary happy with Fritz and would highly recommend FHG Architects.

I have known Fritz since we bought our vacant lot in Puako on the big island of Hawaii. Right from the beginning I realized that he is extremely knowledgeable in local building codes and regulations. He helped us immensely with our Puako project which was successfully completed in May 2016. Fritz communicates well with clients and is very direct in sharing his opinion regarding what he thinks is best for the project. Consultation with excellent suppliers and engineers resulted in a statement of quality not simply an adequate buildout. Fritz guided the project to maximize results. We have been looking for an architect to help us put together a private appx 3000 square foot residence on a lovely view lot above Kailua Kona. While the project has been temporarily held up, I can only say I am very pleased with the many conversations we have had with Fritz. He has listened to what we want, is very qualified to advise us on what we can do with what we can afford, and seems to have an interest in HI living as well as us as potential clients. It was a great pleasure to work with FHG Architects on our home renovation and addition this past year. I love the change.
