Hello We are building a home with a company called Greenview builders. A well know builder in the NorthShore of chicago for the past 20 years. He told us that he has ran out of money to finish our home because his new sales have dried up and he was taking the deposits from his sales to finish his other homes. We have found that he has forged documents and has taken money from our mortgage payments and kept it for himself instead of paying for our home. We have a lien on our home from the plumber and electrician. There is a community of 30 homeowners being financially destroyed by this builder. We are out about 400-500g. He is still trying to make more sales in the community to get out of this and needs to be stopped

I hired Yuri Birg as a contractor to renovate my home. He is the owner of Greenview Home Builders in Lincolnshire. He stopped paying the subcontractors on my project without any notice. We had an overflowing dumpster on our driveway for months because he didn't timely pay his bills to the dumpster company. He then completely abandoned our project, leaving us with a partially demolished basement and a dumpster that was full of trash on our driveway. He took money upfront from us for services that he never performed. He then ignored all of my attempts to contact him. I had to terminate our contract and will be filing a civil action against him. To date he owes the subcontractors on my project and me a significant amount of money.

If I could give zero stars here I would. Do not do business with Greenview if you can help it. We contracted with Greenview in the fall of 2013 to build us a house. In 17 months we only have two floors framed, with multiple errors to date. Greenview failed to turn in our permit for months while telling us it was with the village, they screwed up our plans multiple times, they eventually got a set of plans approved with the village with changes that we were not aware of, they screwed up the foundation pour of both our house and are garage causing us to lose square footage and garage roof height, they were unable to get issues resolved with ComEd and Comcast to route overhead wires underground for months at a time until my wife took care of it. They took reimbursement from our title company for money they allegedly paid ComEd, but their check to ComEd bounced. They don't return calls, emails, or texts for weeks at a time. Too many issues over the past 15 months to mention them all here.

We are in the middle of construction. It has taken a long time (permits took 6 months) but we like Greenview customer service and desire to allow us to customize every last detail without much of a fuss. Jim 'Jimmy' is great and the design team cares about making us happy (Gladys and Denise). Yesterday was a cold Saturday and we drove up unannounced and there were four workers working hard. The jury is not officially out but thus far Greenview exceeded our vision of the experience. We met with a lot of companies before choosing a builder. Greenview has value, integrity and enthusiasm towards design.

Built new semi-custom home for us; deceptive practices during initial stages that were not uncovered until very late into the project; poor quality workmanship and promises to remedy were never followed through. Company's owner, employees and subcontractors do not return phone calls, emails or texts. Overall HORRIBLE experience.
