Heritage Group Landscape Contractors

Heritage group was hired by SEDA Construction to complete the landscaping. Around the middle of December 2018 Heritage put down sod around my new home ( I was out of town). The job they did was absolutely horrible. They didn’t even out the area before laying the sod and then threw the pieces down haphazardly leaving gaps between MANY pieces. The job Heritage did was some of the sloppiest work I’ve ever seen. No pride! The entire lawn Heritage installed is a hazard to walk or run on. Upon my return on January 1, 2019 and after seeing the horrific job Heritage did, I immediately contacted SEDA. SEDA contacted Derek Watson at Heritage and instructed him to contact me. It took a few days for Derek to contact me. When Derek finally met me at the work site he told me the lawn would even out in time. I knew that wasn’t going to happen when he said it. Now 6 months later my lawn looks like a rolling river. I obviously would never recommend Heritage Group.

We hired Derek for our new build in Ponte Vedra Beach in 2016. We had a palm tree and many other bushes that died because of poor drainage that was not addressed by Derek and the builder Jewel Homes. It cost me 4 thousand dollars to correct drainage and replace Palm tree and other plants. We tried to contact Heritage and Derek many times to replace the dead palm tree which we paid for. No response. If you want to have your trees and landscaping guaranteed I would suggest you use someone else.

I am extremely happy with the end result of the landscaping Derek Walton and his harding working crew completed in our yard. I had no idea what to do with our front and backyard, but Derek saw a vision and it was beyond anything I could of ever imagined myself. Our front and backyard look like an English garden. I am very picky and quite frankly a difficult client. However, Derek communicated with me very well and answered any question or any doubts I had very promptly. Hiring any contractor can be a major headache, but Derek is a breath of fresh air. I would recommend Heritage Group to anyone and believe they will be happy with the end result. Jessica Swindal

Met Derek Walton at the home and patio show, scheduled him to give us an estimate. He walked the yard and gave suggestions, while complying with my wishes for how I wanted the work done. He responded with a cost estimate within a week, told us when he would be able to start the job and even worked on the weekends prior to the start date just to get things prepped. As we moved forward, we continued to add to the job and Derek was very accommodating. After he moved on to another job, we still had things we wanted to do. He stayed in close contact to complete all of our requests. We have two small items still pending, but I have no doubt they will be completed soon. I strongly recommend The Heritage Group and Derek Walton.

We met Derek at the Spring Home and Patio Show, and asked him to come to our house and give us an estimate on a back patio, pergola, and outdoor kitchen. He was very professional and gave us some great advice. A long story short...we hired Heritage to do our backyard, not because he was the cheapest, but because we knew we could trust him and his work. I will highly recommend Heritage/ Derek to all of my friends and neighbors.

We couldn't be more pleased with our new lawn. Derek Walton at Heritage Group provided us with straightforward and creative plans from the start. Being new to the area, we needed direction with plant choices and help meeting the demands of our (rather stringent) HOA requirements. Derek listened to our ideas, and offered even better ones to meet our true needs. Really can't say enough good things about our experience.
