I have a beautiful bathroom, but it was a long rocky ride. Overall, happy with the work but I would not work with Holtzman again.
Pros
-Bidding process – The salesperson Christina won me over with her care during my in-home estimate. She shared a couple great ideas that got me excited. Also, Holtzman renders the project as part of the estimate. It was nice to see what the product could be.
-Crews – Almost every crew was friendly, professional and did a great job. I was impressed by the craftsmanship throughout the project. Except for countertops, every trade was in-house.
-Detail – I liked that my project was thoroughly laid out and I can clearly see each line item and the associated cost. It was helpful when making design selections so I didn’t go over budget. This was great as I’m used to a high-level summary with other general contractors.
-The finish project looks amazing and I am happy Holtzman was able to give me a modern bathroom.
Not so good
Scheduling – My project was initially schedule to start in March 2023. They didn’t start until June 2023. My project was initially scheduled for 2 months. It actually took nearly 5 months. Holtzman doesn’t schedule their trades with a quick turnaround. The schedule on their scheduling tool doesn’t always reflect if a trade is in.
Oversight - On my project, I had a couple of issues.
There were choices I made in the design phase. When the layout was made, those choices were not included. I asked the designer if this was okay, she said no problem. Yet, when I met with my superintendent for the initial walkthrough they seemed upset these things were not captured. He then mentioned that’s the purpose of the walkthrough, to make sure everything is taken care of. Instead, none of the items discussed in the walkthrough were addressed and required that I take care of them as each trade came in. Further, this resulted in change orders that I was not expecting. I will say during my project, I got a new superintendent Will and he did an excellent job.
Finally, the tub purchased was too big for the space causing delays in finishing tiling. Further, a part was backordered from the beginning of the project. Due to lack of oversight when it was time to complete the plumbing, we had to scramble to get a different part in, 3 months later. Finally, I communicated several times of my desire for a tile wall. This was communicated to several members of Holtzman team in the design phase. When it came time to complete, those changes still were not communicated, and I had to personally purchase the tile to get the tile wall I wanted.
Overall, most of my anguish on my project was due to the delays with the bathtub. Had there been no issue with the tub, I have a feeling my project would have finished on time. I think Holtzman can be trusted to get the job done, however my overall experience wasn’t as smooth as I’d like.

Do not use this company. The entire experience was exhausting. We were quoted 6-8 weeks. It took 25 weeks from the beginning of demo. We signed in Feb 2022. They didn't start demo until Jun 2022. We were remodeling a small downstairs bathroom. They did not complete the project until the end of Nov 2022. The design person seemed nice. But she sold us on a piece of granite that we based our color scheme on that we then couldn't get. Found out later she was fired for incompetence. Their approach seemed to be bait and switch. The never ending barrage of change orders driving up the price was ridiculous. They had to do the shower floor 3 times before getting it correct. If I hadn't caught the error they were going to use the wrong tile for the floor. The grout job was poor. The alignment of the tiles was horrible. The amount of wasted product that we paid for was insane. They left the threshold loose. They had to come back out. They couldn't hang a simple electrical cover. They put one screw in semi tight. And the others were just in the plate, not secured to anything. We had to constantly beg for updates. We even reached out to the Brandon one of the owners. During one exchange with him. I was told to leave the worker alone and mind my business. Which I interpreted as the owner telling me to sit down and shut up. One of the things that sold us on the company was they said all their people were W4 employees. Talking to the people that showed up at our home, that is NOT the truth.
Avoid this company. Save yourself endless delays and headaches.

I was very pleased with the outcome of my bathroom remodel. My project manager Will was outstanding
and very attentive to our needs. When I called or texted he was very prompt in returning my messages.
The bathroom is a jewel and we are so pleased to work with this Holtzman Home Improvement. Mr and Mrs Dennis Trefren

I normally do not do reviews or recommendations companies unless I REALLY like them, or I REALLY had a terrible experience with them and I want to tell people to stay away!! This one is because I absolutely trust Holtzman and would recommend them to ANYONE looking to remodel their home!! This will be my 3rd major project that I have used Holtzman for. I started using them back in 2008 when Brandon and his crew built my daughters bedroom for her and did other remodeling projects around our house. The bedroom was of course beautiful complete with a walk in closet, custom built in shelving and chair rail in the room. She was so happy! It was beautiful and it was a great addition to the house! I then used them when we decided to buy a rental property and make some changes to update the house before putting it on the market for renters. Things like updating the flooring, countertops and bathrooms. Once again, they did not disappoint! Everything was beautiful and we had renters in no time at all! This time was no different! We decided to buy another property to rent but we were on a strict time schedule! I flew in from out of town, called Judy and told her my situation and that afternoon I was meeting with Paul! By the next day I had a quote and a plan and everything was good!
Yes, there have been delays but that is to be expected. But I will also say, Brandon himself went and did a walk through before things started and found mold and water damage. Had he not done that we would have never known. Some contractors could have just let it go and just covered it up! But of course Brandon let us know and the project had to stop while that was taken care of properly. It just shows Holtzman does care about what they are doing and that they take the time to do it right. I would rather have some delays then have people rushing to get things done and it not be done right.
Holtzman has treated us like family since 2008, and they continue to do so through this crazy condo remodel of mine today! So thank you to Brandon and his entire Holtzman team!

Holtzman did a kitchen remodel for us last year ( 2018) There were many issues that required revisions and aggressive haggling over problems. There was constant pressure to pay for items before they had been checked off per the contract. There was a lackadaisical attitude and lack of supervision. There were multiple lengthy delays and ultimately I had to issue complaints to the ROC, which were resolved when Holtzman finished the project.
Update October 2020: Since my initial review, I've had two issues - one with cracked stucco around the windows installed with the project, and one with the new windows themselves. Holtzman fixed the cracked stucco and painted at no charge and without any hesitation. The window issue turned out to be because of faulty manufacturing, not a Holtzman issue, and they helped to get it resolved at no cost to me after some back and forth with the mfr. who was at fault ( neglected to seal multiple windows against water entry) . I'm raising my rating from 1 star to 3 stars because they have been helpful at servicing problems after the job was completed and I try to be objective and fair about how I rate somebody's work. Overall the project looks great and is fully functional. The initial experience could have been a lot better.

I have to say I'm very pleased to write this review for Holtzman Home. As they explained, our remodel consisted of 3 phases. Phase 1 was to completely tear out our old kitchen/master bath and build them from scratch. Direct communication with Brandon, the owner, was established from day 1. We also met with our field supervisor, David, who was very knowledgeable and patient!!! Thank you, Brandon and David!!! You both made the process so much easier than I was expecting.
Phase 1 started within a couple days when a dumpster was parked on our driveway and demolition began. Honestly, I wasn’t looking forward to the demolition because I was expecting a huge mess but was super impressed with how clean these guys were. We had all kinds changes done to our kitchen like the old soffit ceiling uplifted, new recessed lighting added, and all new electrical plugs were installed. We also replaced all the tile, our old countertops and old cabinets. I was totally blown away by Grace, our designer. The 3D renderings she showed us during the design look exactly like the finished product. Our kitchen was actually completed 1 week ahead of schedule, which I was very grateful for since it was just before Thanksgiving and we needed a fully functional kitchen for the holidays.
Phase 2 was our master bath. We had our old bathtub relocated and also had our cabinets, countertops, tile and fixtures re-done. Our master bath turned out amazing! Now, I feel like I am walking into a spa every time I walk into my master bath! Hmmm
Phase 3 was painting the whole house inside and out. We did have a couple changes to our remodel but it was never an issue to the Holtzman team. Thank you Brandon and company for the great work! Our new kitchen and master bath seem like they're straight out of magazine. Love, love, love them!!! So glad we chose Holtzman Home for our home!!! We definitely recommend Holtzman Home Improvement to everyone!!!

We hired Holtzman to help us remodel are kitchen and we couldn't be happier with the final results! They were with us every step of the way from our initial meeting, through selections, into demo, and install. They have a very professional staff with in-house workers in every trade. Each trade worked with each other to make our kitchen dreams come true. I cannot wait to show off our new design. I would highly recommend using Holtzman for any remodel needs!

I would like to give a 1-Star review but to be fair, I will give a 2-star review because the job was completed. Just as a quick overview, I would not recommend Holtzman Home Improvement.
PROS and CONS List below:
PROS:
*Bathroom remodel was completed.
*Liked cabinet finishes and style options.
CONS:
*We were given a timeline of 6-8 weeks for project completion but ended up taking 6 months.
*In contract, the introduction page says that Brandon Holtzman “… will personally meet you and visit your job site several times throughout your project to ensure quality and care is not only in the workmanship but also in our demeanor.” Never met the man; not even once.
*“Designer” which they refer to as “sales-person”, had a hard time keeping up with the demands of our project. Made numerous mistakes in terms of measurements that caused wrong products to be ordered and mistakes in the actual remodel. Assumed certain details about project without consulting us. Example: Cabinet above toilet was bigger than expected (inaccurate measurements) and overlapped on to the exhaust fan, “Sales-Person” assumed that we were just going to move the exhaust fan altogether; this would have cost us hundreds of dollars to move the fan 2-3 inches.
*Crew would show up whenever, sometimes not at all even though scheduled. Had crew show up at 6am without notice multiple times. Had to state over and over again for a start time that worked for my family; between 7-8am. Nothing ridiculous. No consistency whatsoever.
*Some of the crew did not speak English, which I absolutely didn’t mind at all. But Project manager, “sales person”, did not speak the language. I never expected to be the sole translator numerous times in person and on the phone. Because of this language barrier, numerous mistakes were made on our project.
*Crew would come to job site and not know the status of our project, therefore would ask me questions about what needed to be done, as well as certain technical details that only a professional would know (example: electrical).
*Crew would come to job unprepared and would leave to go to Home Depot for 1+ hours to grab material. Not sure if this is standard, but I believe that they should have been prepared for the day’s work at our project.
*Overpriced. Example: Updated replacement of bathroom exhaust fan that was picked up at home depot for around $45.00-$55.00 and less than an hour to install, cost almost $400.00.
*Project manager forgot to discuss details of our project to team so there were details that were left out. Example: Requested to have a shower bench installed; shower was “completed” with no shower bench.
*Project manager and “sales-person” should have communicated more in terms of our project details; numerous mistakes could have been avoided.
*Low quality of materials: tile/grout. Numerous tiles are cracked, chipped, and grout has already started to come out in chunks. Also, grout that was never wiped off, has solidified and won’t come off.
*Already have water damage; yes, water damage in a bathroom on a pony wall that neither the project manager and “sales-person” gave input on how to finish to avoid said water damage.
*Was double charged, and charged for work not done. Caught mistakes by thoroughly reviewing receipt and was reimbursed. If I didn’t catch these details we would have easily been overcharged.
*At the completion of the project you are given a 5-year warranty. We have recently contacted Holtzman Home Improvement to come and fix said damage and have not heard back; it has been a few weeks already.
*Their slogan is “People should do business with people they trust”; would not recommend.

I recently hired Holtzman Home Improvement to remodel my kitchen and replace tile flooring throughout my home. I am blown away by the quality of work their team provided. Not only were the workers excellent in their respective fields, they were polite, respectful, and wonderful to work with. On top of the quality of work, the team at Holtzman used several virtual tools that made the remodeling process painless. Rob, my design consultant, was able to show me exactly what my new kitchen would look with a 3D design software. Being able to visualize my new space was extremely helpful. I was also able to easily manage my project and schedule through an online portal the team utilizes. I would highly recommend Holtzman Home Improvement to anyone interested in a remodeling project.

This review will take you through our complete project from concept to completion.
Our project centered on bumping out our existing kitchen into the garage area which created approximately 170 sq. ft. of new space. Since the old garage/kitchen wall contained all of the utilities for the washer, dryer and utility sink this meant that a trench needed be dug to relocate all of these utilities. All existing cabinets, flooring, counters, appliances and sinks were removed. A large new window was added and an old window over the sink replaced. New counters, cabinets, sink/faucets, and lighting were added. In addition to the kitchen we replaced two vanities along with sinks/faucets and toilets in our two bathrooms. We also removed all the flooring in the whole house (rugs and tile) replacing them with wood designed porcelain tile. Overall a relatively small project but when all the components are added together the result was a pretty large job.
Our designer, Johnny did a fantastic job of offering different options for what we wanted. I think he visited the house at least three times before we settled on the design. Holtzman’s show room gives you an excellent view of the all the types materials you can choose and their design software allows you to view a realistic representation of the work so you can opt in and out of different things.
Once our design was selected the job superintendent visited to review what needed to be done. Holtzman’s cabinet person came out to the house and did a complete measurement and discussed the various options for the cabinets (types of drawers etc.). She provided excellent advice. The job began in mid-March and was contracted to be completed mid-June. We moved out of the house during this time.
Work began exactly when scheduled and continued pretty much on schedule until completion. During the course of the work our job superintendent was in contact with us a couple of times to deal with small issues that had come up.
Of most importance, the quality of the work done by Holtzman staff was exceptional. All work was done quickly, professionally and with no shortcuts. When we visited our home recently there were a few small outstanding jobs that needed completing and they sent staff out immediately and competed all this work in two days.
We have done two or three renovations to homes we have owned over the years and we would have to say that this was by far the best company we have ever dealt with. I highly recommend them.
