Ian McKenzie and his team designed the drainage, grading and landscaping for our property. We presented IDM with some unique challenges regarding how to address our specific concerns in a small space. Ian's knowledge and experience in this area was clearly demonstrated. The solution was practical, functional and beautiful. The work was done on time and within budget. I would highly recommend IDM Landscapes. Professional work for a reasonable price.

Ian and his crew were professional, personable and hard working. They built a large patio with two sets of stone stairs surrounded by armour stone and a retaining wall for us. The quality of their work was excellent and the end result surpassed our vision. I would use them for any future landscaping needs.

I hired IDM Landscapes to remove our existing front garden and shrubs and plant a new front garden. I knew what I wanted to achieve and Ian offered excellent ideas to help me achieve the look I wanted. The plantings were beautifully done. I intend to hire them again when it's time to do the rest of the garden.

We meet Ian from IDM Landscapes at the Markham Fair we told him we wanted to landscape our from and back yards and we didn’t know what type of plants to use. Ian came to our house took some measurements and spoke with us for a while and based on our conversation he put together three proposal with pictures of how the end result would look. We ended up even extending the existing patio based on Ian’s ideas The work was completed in the time frame Ian anticipated, and the results exceeded our expectations. We are vert happy with the plan selection and quality of the work. Ian even repaired damages created by rain storm that occurs a few days after he had completed his work. He also sent us an email to remind us to cover our shrubs for the coming winter. We couldn’t be happier. We can recommend Ian and his company, and hope to work with him again in the future. We hit a goldmine with IDM Landscapes! These are seasoned professionals who are incredibly skilled, honest, tidy, HARDWORKING (no standing around with these guys), polite and they own every piece of equipment needed! We had originally wanted some tiered gardens and stairways straightened, fences removed and posts put in. They provided us with a written estimate that was right on. During it, and with their advice, we decided to have them tear out the gardens and stairs and build a gentle sodded slope. It is beauiful. The sod took like it had always been planted there (they even set up the sprinklers on it so we didn't have to walk on squishy sod). Not only did they clean up every speck of dirt all around the house, but they AERIFIED where the equipment had travelled, swept the street and then came back the next day and swept the street again. They altered the original estimate with he changes we made and once again, the final bill was exactly what they had said it would be. The price was great. Finally (and no we are not related to these people nor are we affiliated with them in any way), the timeline. They work HARD, all day long. They focussed on our project and finished it in great time. There is no running back and forth to different sites or smoke breaks. Needless to say, we are thinking up more projects for them to do in the future!

IDM Landscapes recently completed rebuilding a retaining wall and patio. Ian listened to my needs and wants and presented a detailed plan of the project, knowledge and experience clearly evident. Throughout the project, he was very approachable, open to ideas and problem solving as new challenges presented. The new landscaping was effectively integrated with the existing.
