I was faced with the daunting task of renovating the downstairs of a townhouse I had bought in Boynton Beach last year while still residing out of state. Not only did Janice Russillo handle every detail from A to Z with the utmost professionalism, her recommendations and good taste in décor were outstanding. I plan to hire her again to renovate the upstairs and would not hesitate to recommend Janice for any home design project.

Frank Jones

I retained Jan to work on a major redesign of most of the ground floor of my house. The work included new porcelain flooring, new woodwork and electrical, repainting, window treatments, and furniture relocation. Jan found excellent people to do the work. One exception was delay of the window treatments because the company seemed to be in the throes of selling the business. Jan worked diligently through all phases of the project through completion. I was very happy with the results and with her services.

Nancy Whelan

I hired Janice to assist me in my bathroom remodel. She recommended someone for the remodel and I asked repeatedly for his GC license number. Finally, I found out that this man was a handyman and not licensed. I paid a set fee for using this designer. I received one day of shopping for the project. I did not feel Janice was up front with my project and continued to do the remodel with a licensed contractor and am very glad that I did so.

Comment from Janice Russillo Design:

I introduced Nancy to a contractor I've worked with successfully, and who is 6 years into his 7 year apprenticeship under FL law. He works directly under a licensed contractor, as required, and does excellent work. I was trying to help her get what she needed at a good price. Also, I spent hours at Nancy's house discussing her design ideas, several on a Sunday to accommodate her schedule. I spent a 12 hour day shopping with Nancy, and made all the selections for the bathroom cabinets, tile for the walls and floors, and all the plumbing hardware. Nancy then took that plumbing hardware information and bought everything herself, online, which I consider theft of service. She wasted hours of my salesperson's time and expertise putting this plan together, and violated a clause in our contract that calls for making purchases through me. And still I made an effort to continue working with Nancy. I tried to order a special door for her, and made color suggestions when asked. She walked into the cabinet company to place her order, and made it known that she did not want me to know she was placing the order, thus depriving my salesman from earning his commission for the work he did creating the design. Nancy is proof that there are two sides to every story. This is a mean spirited review.

We hired Janice to design a new kitchen. She listened to our wish list carefully and interpreted it so beautifully from colours to layoutadding features and storage ideas we never would have thought of. I wanted open display areas and those are smashing! I have lots of collections of china and pottery too pretty to be behind doors. Our new kitchen is functional and beautiful and a favourite place for family and friends to gather. We highly recommend her to anyone who wants a professional with listening skills, design talent and keeps to a schedule and budget. Well done, all around!

We asked Janice to create a new kitchen using the existing layout, and we love it! She stayed within our budget, and suggested very wonderful and creative ideas. Working within the original footprint, Janice was able to give me better storage, and a much larger and more functional island. She incorporated our collection of blue and white porcelain and plants to accessorize the open concept space. The result is a neutral kitchen which unites the adjacent dining and family rooms, and focuses attention on the views of the gardens and swimming pool outside the windows. We loved her suggestions for everything else she helped us with too. We found Janice to be very professional, honest and reliable, and easy to work with. She really knows her stuff!

My 23 year old house needed updating- new interior paint colors, window treatments, re-upholstering the living room couches, new area rug, new cushions for my outdoor furniture, new bar cabinet facings and granite top, new fireplace facade and some new furniture pieces. Jan listened- she was creative, cost conscious, and patient and I LOVE the result.

Janice joined our team as Designer to develop a theme and sense of style, comfort, warmth and professionalism for my new OB-GYN Medical Practice. We wanted to convey a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. The space was an empty construction site when Janice came aboard. She worked with our Arcitect, the hospital's construction department and us. The result was an efficient office flow, beautiful soft colors, comfortable furnishings, professional and functional offices. It was a triumph! Janice is a qualified and talented professional, she can handle any job,commercial or private. She has also worked with me in my house.
