Katherine Roper Landscape & Garden Design

We went to Katherine in Spring of last year 2016 wanting full advice to redesign our very small north facing garden, the majority of the year our grass looked like mud and the two months it looked OK it took me longer to get the lawn mower out than it did to mow our postage stamp of lawn! We had a few ideas of what we wanted in the garden (including a hot tub)! And in a small Terrace house in bath thought this might be a challenge but Katherine was not put off by any of it. She really took into account all of our wishes and was lovely to work with, responded quickly to any queries we may have had. This March they finished by putting all the plants in and telling us what they are and how to look after them it's been so easy. The whole process from start to finish has been amazing and she has completely transformed our garden to a space that feels like an extension to the house one that we can use all season with growing up children and feels low maintenance. The team she used to put her design into reality were fantastic and a pleasure to have around and knew exactly what they were doinging, thoroughly recommend her and her team and just wished I could find someone like her to sort my house out!

When I bought my mid-terrace house in Bristol the front garden was a mess of loose gravel with a collapsing front wall, and the small back garden had slimy decking and rough turf. I wanted to find a designer who could give me a garden that I would enjoy being in, and suitable for my old age. We mulled over many ideas for both gardens - I needed a garden which would not need a lot of work. I am delighted with the finished result. Katherine Roper has given me a garden that pleases me and that will last. I am grateful to her for all her very hard work with the thinking and planning and then the actual work of carrying it out.

Katherine provided a complete design, planting schedule and supplier sourcing service for the front and rear gardens/drive of our new house in Bath. Her design was innovative and hit/enhanced our overall brief. Our house has amazing elevated views of Bath and the hills beyond and Katherine has designed a garden that exploits those views to the full-she has made a relatively small rear garden seem much bigger and full of interesting features. She sought my wife's broad views on planting and came up with a scheme that we can't wait to see mature.She also sourced some amazing planters from Italy. Furthermore she managed her trusted third party suppliers making the whole process hassle free for my wife and I. Katherine has been a delight to work with-she comes up with great ideas and sees them through to full implementation.

We bought some derelict land and built our own new house, but we had no idea how on earth we could create a garden on land covered with just scalpings!! We engaged Katherine Roper and she gave us hope, and a beautiful vision of what we could achieve. She listened very thoroughly to our brief and gave us a plan for garden planting with a natural feel, which she designed to also support and encourage wildlife. The resulting design was natural, stunning and admired by all!! And yes the wildlife love it here!! Katherine is a highly creative, professional and experienced designer and we were thrilled with the garden she designed for us.
