K Colour Architectural Colour Consultation

In May of this year, our Strata Council reached out to Kora Sevier, Architectural Colour Consultant and owner of "Kora Colour". A small group of council members had been trying to choose colours for the upcoming paint project at our townhouse complex. When it became clear that even the three of us couldn't agree, much less asking all the owners to come to a consensus, we went looking for help. We contacted a total of 4 Colour Consultant services and ended up choosing Kora Colour. Kora's website is very professionally set up with lots of photographs so we could get a good idea of her work and she responded to us in a very timely manner. I had the opportunity to talk with her before she came to meet our "Colour Team" and once we met her, we knew that we had the right person for our job. In less than 2 weeks, Kora came back out to meet with us and share the two colour boards that she had put together for us. These included colours for this year's project (window trim, fascia boards, garage doors, casings and trims, vents, metal entrance gates and posts and our entrance pavilion), and future painting projects (stucco, doors and privacy fences). The owners loved the contemporary neutrals that Kora chose for this project and we held a vote on the two options. We hired Kora after we hit a hurdle with the paint colour(s) of our large A-frame living room (ceiling and walls) in our beach house. The wood plank and beam ceiling was stuck in the 80s and we agonized how to best transform the space. Hiring Kora to help me choose colours for my condo renovation was the best decision I made. I was a bit hesitant because I thought color consultation might be out of my league for a relatively small project. Kora was awesome - she put me at ease right away on that score. For the paint color selection, she's clearly an experienced professional - she has a very user-friendly process that actually made it fun for me. The instruction sheet she produced for my painter was very clear and specified the paint line and finish to be used. I also asked Kora to help me chose tile and carpet - she came to the stores with me and was an absolute pro in narrowing down the choices for me, and then helping me select my top 3 choices. She took meticulous notes, and sent me the information afterwards to help me through ordering the tile & carpet. She even did some follow-up herself by looking at tile options at another store and sending me photos. Kora was very responsive and helpful aside from the time she spent with me in person, via text and email - especially when a couple of questions came up through the painting project because one of the paint finishes wasn't available, she was quick to respond with helpful advice. My project is almost done now, and the paint, tile, and carpet look fantastic. I'm so pleased with the results. I would recommend Kora to anyone looking for help with color choice!
