Great at what she does! Elizabeth was the designer on our new construction custom home and helped us tremendously soup to nuts on all the construction elements. She got a sense of our likes and dislikes, what style we wanted to achieve, and what design elements we gravitated towards. The two areas where we needed the most assistance were (1) pulling together all the design elements we liked individually so it looked cohesive yet customized and (2) understanding scale and dimension of what each of our spaces needed. I had a specific vision in mind for our kitchen that she helped me get to with using different materials and fixtures. Throughout the project, I would run fixtures, pictures, hardware, lighting by her I would come across that I was debating and needed her guidance. She also helped with multiple/on-going one off questions regarding materials and brands. Additionally we had a few areas of the home that still needed to be defined structurally. She drew up images to give us something visual to respond to. We are in our home now and are very happy with every element of it!!

I hired Elizabeth when remodeling my kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Based on my vision for the house, she helped usfnivanity. She was especially helpful in redesign of the bathroom configuration. In a tight space where only a single vanity, toilet and shower existed, she helped to fit in a nice size double vanity, toilet, full size tub and separate shower. We didn't think this was possible but she made it happen! Like so many remodels, there were a few design/construction hiccups along the way, but everytime Elizabeth stood up to the plate and helped us resolve each issue. I would definitely recommend Elizabeth.

We have worked with Elizabeth on several projects and I have always found her service to be professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Elizabeth rescued our kitchen project! My husband and I were struggling with the remodel of our kitchen even though we had already picked a contractor. We were totally overwhelmed with the decisions we had to make and my husband and I did not agree on anything! On top of that, it was difficult to deal with the contractor. We had a tight deadline because we had already planned a trip to Italy. My husband wanted to postpone the remodel until we got back because we were sure the remodel would not be finished by the time we had to leave. Then we met Elizabeth... Elizabeth convinced my husband that she would manage the project beginning to end and if the project wasn't finished by the time we had to leave, she would make sure to keep us posted and she would make sure it got done correctly. So, the idea was that we would leave for Venice and she would take care of everything. We hired her on the spot! The first meeting lasted two hours and she got us to make the key decisions to get the project back on track. It was amazing how she got us to agree! We then went shopping for granite and in one day we picked the granite and reserved the slabs. We had been looking for granite everywhere for months. We now had the granite and later that week she picked the color of the kitchen cabinets and showed us some options for the backsplash. She designed the most beautiful backsplash with accents that were unique. My husband and I BOTH fell in love with her design. Of course, things didn't go right with our contractor but Elizabeth made sure things were done according to the original design. We found Elizabeth very easy to work with and we think she has superb taste. And yes, we left for Venice and the kitchen and the house were a mess. We came back to a gorgeous kitchen and Elizabeth gets most of the credit for that. I never imagined that our kitchen would turn out so beautiful. We are eager to start our next project with her.

First Project: We retained Elizabeth of Knapp Interiors after purchasing a 5,000 sq ft home built in the mid-90s. We consulted with her during escrow and after the closing in order to complete the update of our home before we moved in. Our initial project included replacing all of the flooring throughout, painting the interior, new baseboards and crown moldings, creating an enclosed office space (installing a wall, and double doors), and updating the kitchen (new countertops, appliances, sink, faucet, cabinet pulls, backsplash, flooring and paint). Elizabeth completed the job on time, on budget and with a better design aesthetic than we could have ever done on our own. The end result was absolutely beautiful! Since I was 9 months pregnant during the time, I especially relied on Elizabeth to pull options to present to us allowing us to save time and not to get lost in too many choices. My husband and I are thrilled with our updated home and grateful we had Elizabeth to assist us in getting it done on a tight timeframe. Second Project: We were so pleased with Knapp Interiors, we retained Elizabeth a second time when my husband and I were ready to decorate our home. Because of the size of our home, we have decided to focus on designing the interior in stages, and our first stage included the family room, office, kitchen, powder room and dining room. After an initial meeting to discuss our style preferences and our taste, Elizabeth presented us with design boards. Once again, she hit it right on the mark! We were given a number of "high" and "low" options to select from to stay within our budget and timeframe. With certain furnishings, my husband and I wanted to shop the stores with Elizabeth's guidance and make the final purchases directly. However with others, we gave her the green light to shop for us and then install everything. This worked out particularly well with accessories allowing her to buy items from many different stores without having to coordinate a number of shopping trips around everyone's busy schedules. The end result again exceeded our expectations. I know what I like when I see it, but I don't have the gift Elizabeth has to visualize a space and understand what it needs. Knapp Interiors was worth every penny and I can't wait to retain Elizabeth again when we are ready for stage 3!

Elizabeth transformed my living room from a mixture of styles and colors into a dreamy fully functional room that installs relaxation. She listened to my functional needs and style preferences and quickly went to work. I was most impressed with her natural ability to see the correct scale and form that makes the room full and yet flows - comfortably.

Elizabeth was a tremendous resource for our interior home remodel in Pacific Palisades, CA. I was referred to her by a friend/neighbor, and I am really happy we made the connection. We were at a critical juncture of the project, with no time to spare (and a baby due in 60 days), and Elizabeth responded in perfect fashion. I sent her an email (explaining our tough situation with respect to timing etc), and she was at our house that same day to walk the house with me. We worked thru the most critical items (where contractors were waiting for answers) on that initial walk thru, then signed up a contract for the remaining work in the following days. From there, design selections were simple and enjoyable (because Elizabeth made it that way). I would send her a pic and a question via email (as my contractors needed answers), and she would send an answer that made sense (allowing the project to move forward without delays). This took place over a 60 day window, with daily/weekly contact. Very efficient. When it was time to meet with our contractors or look at something in person, Elizabeth was there. When it was time to select furniture, Elizabeth came with us to walk the store, and she was decisive (in a good way), and all the choices worked out. When it was time for a final install (accessories, final touches, etc), Elizabeth came to our house and worked thru that also (again without wasted time etc). Overall, our experience with Elizabeth was terrific. I have already referred her to another close friend who is doing a much larger remodel project.

Elizabeth designed and coordinated a complete remodel of my Manhattan Beach condo and did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier. She is extremely well organized and has impeccable taste. Now whenever someone drops by my place the first thing they say is "Wow!'

I was looking for someone to help me update our downstairs family room. Our home was built in 1994 and the decor reflected it (think huge TV and big custom made cabinets to match). Elizabeth Knapp came highly recommended by a friend. I knew the minute I met her that we would work well together. She came to our meeting with open ears and helped me articulate what I was envisioning for that space. She brought wonderful ideas and people to the project. We added new wooden beams, streamlined cabinets, window coverings, furniture, light fixtures and an area rug. Elizabeth even accessorized the shelving of the cabinets to give it just the right personal touch. We were so pleased with her work that we asked her to update our living room and dinning room. Elizabeth brings so much to the table. She is not just an interior decorator, but as a mother of two young children, she understands the needs and concerns of a growing family. It would be a rewarding experience for anyone to work with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Knapp recently decorated my guest bedroom. I enjoyed working with her on my beautiful kitchen, and was excited to use her for my bedroom. It turned out just gorgeous. Elizabeth paid attention to my concept and smoothed out the rough edges on some of my ideas. She is a fabulous listener and always makes me feel so comfortable. I love her style and attention to detail. I look forward to her help again in the future and would highly recommend her for anyone wanting an elegant home.
