Kevin's work came to our attention after seeing the Schrier Remodel project photos. His amazing attention to detail and craftsmanship really impressed us.

Kevin remodeled our kitchen, large entryway, and master bathroom. This comprehensive project resolved inefficient design issues while updating our outdated home's aesthetic & function. On the surface, modern design falsely appears easy because of the simple, clean lines & minimal adornment. However, successful implementation of modern design actually requires unique skills and planning, as mistakes cannot simply be covered with trim and moulding pieces without polluting the modern look we desired with unnecessary clutter. Being very 'particular' people, we selected & sourced unusual materials with ultra-modern styling for this project. Kevin's unique understanding of our modern design requirements & familiarity with the unusual materials we selected made him the perfect man for this job. His brilliant implementation extended to all aspects of our remodel, from laying large format floor tile with 1/16" grout lines, designing and building custom cabinetry with precise reveal detail, and finishing out drywall texture and paint details. The quality of Kevin's work was stellar because of his approach, attention to detail, experience, and execution. We particularly appreciated Kevin's flexibility in making design changes along the way and valued his personal interest in helping us achieve as close to perfection as possible. Kevin Schrier has done two jobs for us: a 1968 Airstream interior, and a Kitchen remodel. In both cases his workmanship was outstanding (and I have high standards), but what stands out above all is his flexibility and thoughtfulness in taking on jobs with unique requirements and then completing them to our total delight in a constructive partnership. For the Airstream, he was able to accommodate the fact that nothing was straight, plumb, or level. He took pains to understand the original designs and built modern replicas that improved on the original. Our kitchen remodel was a major project and Kevin built beautiful clear vertical grain fir cabinets that met our needs exactly. He worked extremely well with the other subcontractors and showed his usual flexibility in listening to our requests. We enjoy the new kitchen every day. My only caution would be that you should not expect a project to go as fast as they do on HGTV. Our kitchen took about a year from start to finish, which was not a problem for us because we had a functional kitchen for most of the time (due to Kevin's planning). Kevin works mostly alone and takes his time to ensure that the job meets both his and our standards. His billing is fair and without surprises. I would recommend him whenever quality and flexibility is valued over speed.

Kevin did a masterful job on our bathroom remodel and pantry. He came out for an estimate, measured the dimensions of our room (which had some funky angles in the ceiling), then built the cabinets at his shop. Then he brought everything out and installed them in a very meticulous, professional manner with no mess. The joinery is top-notch and the finish is flawless. All doors and drawers work perfectly and we now have a beautiful, modern master bathroom. We selected a natural maple finish on the cabinetry and it really brightened up the room. We highly recommend Kevin for custom woodworking!
