Laurie is the ultimate professional. From start to finish she has guided us with knowledge, kindness and compassion. She has a deep understanding of design, how it fits into our lifestyle and what works for us. We have a hectic, active household that needed to be low maintenance. Not only has she achieved our goals, she exceeded them. Laurie is working with us on this long-term project to help us finish a home she started in 2020 as a total renovation.

We completely gutted our kitchen, and Laurie worked with us to design a layout that really worked in the space. She even recommended a great contracting firm for the demo and renovations. She walked us through the process and scheduled all the meetings with the various showrooms to select products that truly complimented each other. There were a few hiccups along the way, but the renovation was completed within a month of the projected date. One of the delays was a structural issue as our entire floor had to be removed and rebuilt, but that was one of those unforeseen issues that you don't know until demo has started. She worked with the contractor to ensure delivery of cabinets and appliances didn't interfere with the rebuild of the floor, but showed up when needed without any additional delays, with the exception that a piece of the banquet had been incorrectly cut and had to be reordered. The cabinet company had the piece delivered in time to meet the completion date. While all the appliances were what we ordered, there were some features that we wish we had known more about before installation as they did cause some issues during install and some less than favorable operating features we would not have chosen. One in particular dealt with the oven and speed oven being too big for the cabinet requiring modifications to fit in the space. The cabinet did not take into account the need for the electrical box so contractor had to cut out the back of the oven cabinet to fit it in. The speed oven has no self cleaning capability which makes it extremely difficult to clean. Overall we were quite satisfied with the project.

Laurie is the ultimate professional. From the point of the initial consultation through design and final install she was there with us every step of the way. The kitchen was a blank slate, she asked tons of questions about lifestyle, look and functionality which brought us to the beautiful design pictured below. From cabinet design to finishing touches Laurie's eye for detail and beauty created a kitchen that we both love. Big parties or small dinners, everything functions perfectly.

I have worked with Laurie many times over thirty years and have always found it to be a good collaboration. She understands that I do not want anything trendy. On our previous homes, she has served as project manager as well as designer, working beside the draftsman and contractor from the concept through the building process to the finished home. She provides finishes, as well as procuring each item in the home for the most efficient, serviceable floor plan and the correct scale and use for each piece. She sources accessories and art down to the last lamp. The contractors appreciate her knowledge of building, respect for deadlines and experience in scheduling. We are beginning a new project currently and I trust her to navigate the supply chain issues due to her experience in the field. I can highly recommend her to anyone who wants the best in interior design and needs help getting there.

I have known Ms. McRae most of her professional career and have found that she is very knowledgeable in all aspects of design, from designing and installing a new kitchen to building a complete home. Since I am a business person in the Augusta area, the project referred to herein represents a retail showroom of 6000 sq. ft.. Ms. McRae designed and supervised the entire structure of the interior, to include columns, beams, lighting and other interior structures. Since that time she has been instrumental in redesigning and choosing current up to date decor for the showroom a number of times. She has completed all the design work in our personal homes also. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with her on projects from homes to office buildings. She has always been able to project accurate cost and meet the completion deadlines as established with her clients. I have never known her to reject a project because it was too small and as a result has established a client relationship that very few professionals are able to do. I have found her to be a very professional individual, extremely intelligent and very trustworthy. Her business and personal ethics are beyond reproach.
