This was the best experience we have ever had with any type of contractor. Angie and Ray were responsive and polite to all of our questions and requests. To top it off, outstanding pricing, unbelievable turnaround time, great quality of workmanship and the best customer service we have ever had.

We used Fine Line for some updates to our home before putting in on the market. They were amazing to work with. Very easy process and all work was done in a timely manner. Great people and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

The team is exceptional and the prices were very reasonable. We have hardwood floors throughout our entire house that were heavily damaged by a water heater leak. The Fine Line Flooring team came in and replaced the necessary wood planks, sanded down the entire surface and restrained everything in a very modern color. The results were spectacular. We were so happy that we asked them to re-tile two bathrooms and our laundry room.

I hired FLF to come in and replace my entire first floor (save bedrooms) with wood-grain porcelain tile. I decided since I was replacing the flooring in the bathroom, this would be a good time to replace the bathtub/shower tile and install a wainscot. Ray assured me upfront they could do the tile work in the bath/shower and wall as well as the flooring. If I was rating FLF on just the flooring work, I would give them 4 stars and I would recommend them for that. The floors look great (see attached floor image). What wasn’t so great was the communication - I had no idea what was happening from day to day, who was coming, when to expect them, etc. Also, the crew didn't do a great job of cleanup, as well as leaving several noticeable nicks and scrapes on my walls - in prominent places - that the workers didn't acknowledge or offer to repair (see attached image). I should have raised these to Ray's attention earlier when I noticed them on my own but I was more concerned with them finishing up the work - I can patch a few nicks in the wall myself. Still, they could be more careful and/or cognizant to report any damage they cause. To Ray’s credit, he did offer to have it fixed or take off $100 of my bill. I opted for the latter. As I said, the flooring looked great, but I am knocking another star off because of the tile job in my bath/shower area and wainscot. It ended up looking like a DIY job. I initially raised concerns over how they installed the corners - the tiles looked misaligned and left a large diamond shaped gap that when grouted (which other pros here on Houzz told me should have been caulked instead of grouted) looked like black, misshapen diamonds. (See attached BEFORE image). Ray attributed this to my choice of beveled tiles, but I connected with other Houzz pros in the forum who told me it looked that way because they didn't miter the ends of the tiles in the corners before installing. When I raised the concern to Ray, he offered to tear it all out and start over - without charging me extra - but we compromised on just tearing out the corners and they would miter the edges. The end result looked better - but still not great. The tiles still weren't fully matching up with one another, causing the corner line to be crooked. Caulking does little to hide that. (See AFTER image) The grout job was also messy (post-cleanup) and the tiled inset niche was missing grout in several places. Ray re-grouted the niche, but I ended up going over ever tile with a razor blade scratching off the excess grout that bled onto the tile (and I found a couple of tiles near the ceiling that are missing grout - guess I’ll be caulking those). When he came out the last day to do a couple of final items, I showed him the "corrected" job his crew did in the bathroom. I said "It kinda seems like this isn't something your crew does often." HIs response was "Oh...never." I found that response unsettling and I told him if I he had admitted to me up front that this isn't something they have experience with, I would have just had them do the floors and would have hired someone else to do the tub/wall tile work. My suggestion to FLF is if it's not your forte, own that and tell potential clients. Don't project confidence in your ability to do it because you're setting yourself up for failure in the eyes of your clients. Some may say, "don't hire a flooring company to do bath/wall work" and in hindsight I agree, however as I said before, Ray assured me upfront they could do the tile work in the bath/shower and wall. I will give credit that FLF did at least make efforts to try to correct the situation, but in the end it just seems like this part was too outside their wheelhouse. Would I recommend FLF or hire them again to do flooring work? Yes, I probably would. Bath/shower/wall work? Not so much.

If anyone is looking for someone to install flooring or shower tile, this business is amazing. They are respectful, hard working, on time, inexpensive, and they did everything beautifully. The owner even went out of his way for me by helping with things that would speed up the installation process. He picked up parts for my shower plumbing and helped identify and build out a section of my shower that wasn't done correctly by my contractor. I can't even explain what a great feeling it is to get a good price and excellent service during the difficulties of an extensive remodel/addition. We will definitely be using them for future projects.

We are General Contractors and never actually get to work on our home. We have used these guys through another sub-contractor with excellent results but never directly. They were very professional and respectful and did a great job. Very conscience of my home and taking care of there trash and clean up. Will definitely use them for phase 2 of our remodel.

Courteous, kept us informed during the whole process. Very nice crew got the job done and cleaned up well afterward.

My wife and I recently purchased a home and decided to do a facelift on the interior before moving in. We hired Fine Line based on friends experience working with Ray and his team. Everything we heard was far exceeded! The great attention to detail in making sure everything turned out perfect was the best part of all. You can hire a lot of people to thrown down flooring, Ray's team went well above to make sure it was true craftwork. The rock facing we bought to put on our floor to ceiling fireplace was installed with the same craftwork level of expertise. I would very strongly consider Fine Line Flooring to do work in your home or office.

Fine Line Flooring did a Master Restroom remodel for me and the work was outstanding. We chose to do marble and limestone throughout. They came up with several great ideas that helped make the project even better, from adding niches and a bench to new tile at both sinks to bring the space together. The workmanship was top notch and the crews were very respectful of my family. I have three young children that were there during the day and never had a second thought of leaving them there. Very professional clean cut crews.

Fine Line Flooring installed awesome wood flooring and a beautiful glass backsplash in my kitchen in my current home. They also installed beautiful ceramic tile flooring in every room of my previous home. Fine Line did an awesome job in both my homes and ended with beautiful results. The owner as well as his crew had great attitudes and work ethics. They had excellent knowledge in the products and the installation process and when the job was complete they left my home clean of debris. I definitely will recommend Fine Line Flooring to my family and friends and anyone looking for quality work done right. and I will use their service again.

Ray Lawliss is a very respectful, considerate person who operates with much professionalism and does fabulous work. He is a delight to work with and goes above and beyond to please his clients. He operates with much integrity and tenacity until the project is completed. I would highly recommend him for any project!
