In 1985 a country shop was established in an upstairs building on west Saginaw in Lansing, Michigan. Country Friends was the name and arts & crafts was the game. It was a little store not more than 500 square feet, but creativity and passion filled all the walls and windows with eucalyptus wreaths, lace curtains and straw hats. As the trends and economy changed over the years so did a new transformation of that quaint country shop into what is now known as Cricket's Home Furnishings. The philosophy used over 20 years ago is our same philosophy as it is today. Our name has changed, our logo has changed, our products have certainly changed and our square footage has changed, but it really just comes down to the genuine love received by helping customers make their house feel like a home. Our challenge is to be a leader in the industry. Cricket's is constantly changing and adding new lines to be at the forefront of ever changing styles and technology. We do not want to be like other furniture stores that stack rows and rows of sofas back to back. We want to be unique. We guarantee there is no other furniture store like us in Michigan. We feel if you like something on our floor today, then you should be able to have it by tomorrow instead of having to order new. We value having only professional degreed designers on staff. Our 22,000 square foot showroom provides customers with over 30 different room settings. We've introduced a design studio, custom floral department and custom drapery workroom on site to enhance our full service establishment. We have everything you need to make your house a home!
