I learned about Marybeth Woods when I started asking around about ideas for my kitchen. I quickly discovered that several people I knew had architectural design/planning/renovation/construction with Woods Design, LLC and all were profuse with their recommendation. Truth be told, I had already paid a deposit for this work to another design firm but thought I should keep an open mind and checkout this firm. This was probably my best 2018 move...Woods is no nonsense, timely and gifted with a creative eye and imagination. Her ideas were far both extensive, liberal (she came up with a multitude of options) and just really good. She is also patient, a good listener and committed to perfection. Woods is a "package deal" which you are unlikely to find in your bigger companies. I have nothing but good things to say which is why I vote Woods 5 stars. This boutique business is a powerhouse and I suspect we'll be seeing more from her this year. Definitely make Woods Design, LLC a part of your hit list, you won't be disappointed.

Marybeth has been absolutely amazing to work with. She has been the rock for us in our custom build process. For anyone considering a custom build I HIGHLY recommend starting with Marybeth and building the team around her. We had seen a few houses she designed, loved them, and mistakenly thought we should hire the builder of those homes (vs. Marybeth) as a first step. Huge mistake! In hindsight we should’ve hired Marybeth and formed the team around her. In a process that can easily become overwhelming and was particular challenging for us as we needed to change builders mid-course, Marybeth has helped us keep our sanity through her organization, detail orientation, and ability to be budget conscious while designing a truly special home for our family. I would HIGHLY encourage anyone considering a custom build to start with Marybeth. She’s awesome!

Marybeth is an expert of her craft, a true professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. I had the great fortune to work with Marybeth on the construction of my dream home. Incredibly easy to work with, she somehow translated my rambling ideas into a cohesive, beautiful home. The perfect blend of modern and rustic. As a novice to custom construction, she led me through the process with ease. Marybeth Woods has worked on a number of projects for us in connection with both the interior and the exterior of our home over the past several years. She designed and reconfigured three beautiful bathrooms for us and she very creatively solved space and storage issues with great artistry and flare. She completely redesigned the exterior of our home which led to a reframing of the roof, adding dormers as well as a beautiful stone front porch. Throughout all of these construction projects, Marybeth demonstrated her fantastic and unique eye for detail as well as providing creative solutions. The thought of a building a custom house in Westport, CT while being a pregnant, full-time working mom in NYC was beyond daunting. However, with Marybeth on our side, she made the whole process easy, fun, and amazing. She helped us to make beautiful choices for our home (both inside and outside), managed mine and my husband's sometimes varying tastes, and ensured that every element in our home was well-thought out and consistent in terms of style. I can't think of a single aspect of our home that she didn't help with - from designing the interior floor plans of each room, picking out stone & tile, wood stain, windows, doors, moldings, ceiling trays, built-in shelving, doorknobs, light fixtures, bathroom vanities, kitchen drawer pulls...down to the precise placement of toilet paper holders! She's an expert at working within a budget and knows how to balance the highs and lows to create a beautiful home. Beyond that, she's a lovely person and we always enjoyed our time with her.
