Diana Melichar was a personal referral from an architect friend who sits on an historical preservation committee with her. She and her architect Jennifer took a very thorough approach to develop a kitchen design ideal to our needs. Fit all of our wishes into our existing space without tearing out walls. Great eye for traditional, classic design. Creative execution of my office space by integrating it into my pantry with pocket doors so I can operate out of it during the day without doors hanging open and taking up space. Closed doors hide the space when not in use. Would highly recommend Diana and Jennifer to anyone looking for top quality service and design. Melichar also designed our outdoor space of new carport and terrace which we will execute in Spring 2017.

Melichar Architects is the most professional team! They led the charge in preparing drawings and elevations in preparation of a meeting for approval of a ground up build. After approval, the detailed design started. They never imposed their style but rather inspired creative thinking in us through their deep and broad knowledge. The architecture received and esteemed award within our Community. You will get the best drawings ever from this team! We then purchased a beautiful piece of land with a tired looking lake house on it. We spent a long day taking photos and measurements and, from 135 miles away, the transformation took place! Melichar Architects struck the perfect balance of design elements, architecture and vision. We could not be happier!

We have used Melichar Architects for both our homes in the Chicago and Miami areas. In each instance, their attention to detail and thoughtful assimilation of our desires were wonderfully reflected in the end results. Even though each property had its own unique setting, Melichar Architects was able to incorporate their ideas in a manner that brought out the beauty of each locale, regardless of the geography and diversity; no small task. No matter what the situation may require, we can depend on Diana and her fine staff to provide a wonderful and creative solution to our design requirements.

Diana and her team are unparalleled. In a community where architecturally significant homes are the norm. Diana excels in fulfilling the historic vision of the homes she works on while enhancing the structures to meet the homeowners modern needs. She is a delight to work with, as are her associates. Diana has made our historic home comfortable and suitable for life in the 21st century while keeping the integrity of David Adler's design-no easy feat. We are grateful for her counsel and guidance and have enjoyed getting to know her and the members of her firm. We would recommend her without hesitation and with great enthusiasm!
