Mid Island Cabinets

Given all the time we have been spending at home with COVID, we thought it was a good opportunity would do some renos in our kitchen. We decided to do a complete replacement and expansion of our island and after much research, we entrusted this project to Mid Island Cabinets....and we were not disappointed ...in fact, we were thrilled with the whole process and the end result. This was a big island (4'x10') and their Design Consultant, Julie Tremblay, was absolutely wonderful to work with and kept lines of communication open throughout the project. Every part of the project went smoothly and on time. Their staff were wonderful to work with, and Frank did a super job on the installation. They sourced the granite top through VI Granite, and Julie was able to match our existing countertops with one 40 sq. ft. piece. The fellows from VI Granite did an excellent job, from templating to delivering and installing the countertop. The end result is an amazing centerpiece island that totally fits the kitchen. Job well done Mid Island....and thank you, Julie, for all your help and expertise!

Mid Island cabinets was involved in our major house renovation four years ago. We had them design, create, and install a custom kitchen, three bathrooms and the fireplace mantle shelving unit. We had a very good (read 5 star) experience with all the staff, from the show room personnel to the installers and especially the sales representative and designer. We received excellent advice, prompt service, great communication, and the products have withstood the test of time so far. As a testament to our satisfaction with Mid Island Cabinets, we just recently hired them back to create a custom built in book shelf specifically designed for an existing 'nook'. I described what I wanted and they created it to match the existing kitchen and fireplace. From first contact to finished installation took 2 months to the day. Very impressive. The result is exactly what we wanted and the workspace was left clean and tidy. I can't praise the customer service and workmanship highly enough. Keep up the good work, guys!

I used Mid Island Cabinets prior to this build and was very pleased. However, one year later when we built again, we were met with delays, incorrect cabinets, platitudes and lost cabinetry. No one would help us as weeks went by and we were told nothing could be done to get our cabinets that had disappeared until we finally, weeks later, we were given the name of the shop manager. He finally found our lost cabinetry that was still in their shop and organized it to be delivered and installed. We managed the obvious Covid delays, however, these were mismanaged issues not related to Covid. Our experience was less than desirable and added enormous stress to our project. I am hopeful that Mid Island will improve their service in the future.

First time purchasing a new kitchen and we are very pleased we chose Mid-Island Cabinets. The Sales process was great and Robert W helped us out and was a pleasure to deal with. He made several design suggestions that were very helpful. The cabinet quality is excellent and a great value as compared to prefab kitchens. We now have a very special and beautiful kitchen at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Mid Island Cabinets have done two projects for us. A complete kitchen cabinet renovation in 2018 and two bathroom vanity updates in 2019. Their customer service is amazing and the quality of their products is excellent.

Karen has been very helpful in fulfilling our bookcase/cd cabinet order. She has provided us with excellent customer care and follow up care in adjusting our bookcase/cabinet. As a result of being pleased with this bookcase/cabinet we have ordered another pantry/cabinet for our kitchen area. We would recommend Karen highly.

Karen was always helpful and was able to answer our questions with no difficulty. When we needed to make a change there was no trouble, and the install was done smoothly.

I set an appointment with Karen to view our kitchen and provide direction on how to improve on the cabinets that we have. Karen arrived on time and did preliminary measurements. She showed us some samples of finishes and arranged for us to meet her at their Nanaimo showroom on Tuesday of the following week. We selected what we liked and executed a contract with Mid Island Cabinets. As scheduled, Kevin came over to take the final measurements before manufacturing. So far, both karen and Kevin have proved to be professionals with excellent knowledge and work ethics.

The designer was very helpful and gave us very good guidance on our bathroom cabinet design. It was delivered and installed, and now looks like it was always there! Both form and function were successful! Thanks!

The company was very helpful and the cabinet quality is 10 out of 10. The best part was the installer. He was very neat and when he left each day he cleaned up to the point you would not have known he had been there. Fantastic finally a company that cares.
