Ocean Pacific Builders

This review is long overdue. We recently completed a huge remodel of our home which consisted of removing several walls and 2 huge chimneys removed to create an open concept. A steel beam weighing well over 1500 pounds was put in place via a crane through the roof to support the ceiling (an amazing site to see). An actual laundry room vs having it in the garage plus a butler pantry was built, and my dream kitchen put in. I can’t say enough about Ocean Pacific Builders (Eric Lauchlin). He is extremely professional and always went above and beyond. Eric and his workers are amazing. No matter what they did that day (tearing down walls or ceilings, demolition of concrete, putting electrical wiring it didn’t matter because they always made sure to have everything swept and cleaned up which I really appreciated since we were still living in the house during this huge remodel. Eric’s sub-contractors and recommendations for kitchen cabinets and appliances were all on point as well. We have plans to do some additional remodeling in the future and we will definitely be calling Ocean Pacific Builders. Before and after photos shown.

Ocean Pacific Builders (Eric) built a wood garden arbor structure for us and did a wonderful job. The quality of the work was excellent and quickly executed. Fair pricing, good communication, no issues. We can highly recommend OPB!

Their price was competitive, previous clients praised their work and they turned around the bid request in short order... now that the work is completed We know we made the right choice.

Just finished our Neptune kitchen and bathroom remodel. Our place was in dire need of upgrading now that we are stuck inside more. Eric did a wonderful job working with us to create a beautiful living space. Everything was handled very professionally and he was very transparent throughout the process. We met with several people to find the best deal but ultimately felt the most comfortable with Eric. Glad we did because it turned out perfect for us!

I met Eric through a neighbor when we needed a new patio cover. I was in a time crunch and my regular contractors were busy. We were so impressed with him and his crew that we decided to have him finish the whole project. What started out as a simple patio cover turned into a true work of art throughout our home. They did it all: Patio, Custom outdoor kitchen, Awesome interior wood walls, electrical, plumbing, etc. I have been a Real Estate Broker for many years and OP Builders is now on the top of the list of go to contractors. They won me over with their attention to detail which is not easy to do. They have my highest recommendation!

Eric and his team at OPB helped us with a full remodel of our home in 2015. We were very pleased with their attention to detail. The finished product exceeded our expectation. We would definitely use them again in the future.

We moved from Buffalo New York and had little experience with California codes and requirements.Eric the owner recommended quality design ideas due to his experience in doing everything from bathroom remodels to million dollar projects. There is no surprise with this builder who is on time and produces quality work on a budget.I would recommend him to one and all due to the results he creates with a flair showing his pulse is on design which makes his work so valuable. I am considering future projects and my hope is that Ocean Pacific Builders will always care for me as they have in the past.

Ocean Pacific Builders, specifically Eric Lauchlan and his amazing crew completed our fantastic kitchen and bathroom remodel in spectacular fashion. We appreciated Eric's very straight forward and honest approach to helping us through this process always providing detailed insights that made working with him very easy. Our experience with other contractors has been so varied over the years it was refreshing to work with a contractor who we felt actually cared instead of this just being another job. I have used Ocean Pacific Builders on more that one occasion. Eric of Ocean Pacific Builder's worked on a custom home for me that involved very complex detailed construction in the Greene and Greene architecture. The quality of workmanship was not only outstanding, but Eric was able to do very complex finish work that maintained the Greene and Green look while adapting a turn of the centry architecture to modern day building codes. I have had him back repeatedly to do subsequent projects and am currently in disscussions for a new project. Not many contractors are capable of this level of complexity and quality. Ocean Pacific is not the cheapest contractor in town. Ocean Pacific takes the time to do quality work, solve unexpected problems that always come up in remodels. They are the contractor that provides quality and value. Ocean Pacific is not for the home owner that looks for the cheapest bid to do the cheapest quality work and then complain about the job do to their ignorance in construction.

Our experience with Ocean Pacific Builders was poor. We had problems with tracking billing, significant breaches in timelines and schedules, maintaining budgets accurately, as well as a host of unnecessary gaps in professionalism that made with should have been a collaborative build absolutely miserable. We could not recommend Ocean Pacific Builders from our experience. We did check his references, one is an “employee” and the other is a neighbor, but we were hopeful he would work out. It did not, and we are still recuperating. There are so many options for contractors out there, get one that listens and works with you. We waited months to write our review to provide this insight to anyone considering making our mistake. Best wishes on your renovation

Eric remodeled our two bathrooms and we were very pleased with the results. He has extensive knowledge and expertise and we would highly recommend him for any construction project.

I had a leak in our kitchen which ended up requiring new floors, cabinets and counters. Eric with Ocean Pacific Builders was very helpful and provided ideas for a remodel and a way to stay within our budget. I love the professionalism of his whole crew and staff. I am very happy with our new kitchen and thankful to OPB as they did a fantastic job. I will definitely be using OPB on all my future upgrades.
