Paul Dix Gardens offers all the services for your outdoor space, whether it’s a one off consultation visit for advice and inspiration or you want a completely new garden, needing plans, construction details and planting schemes, Paul can offer a friendly, personal and professional service to fulfil your requirements. Paul gained his diploma in professional garden design at The Garden Design School GDS based out of Painshill Park in Surrey, studying under Robin Templer Williams and Moira Farnham - both distinguished garden designers in their own right. Before branching into garden design Paul gained a BA hons in Fine Art before enjoying a career spanning the last decade in Film and TV production. Focusing on art departmental roles eventually settling in the scouting and managing of locations for everything from film, commercials and photo shoots to aiding events, property and planning organisations. Paul has a flair for creativity and is content to listen and to communicate in a professional manner all design concepts, ideas and needs with the client…you!

Paul designed my garden in a new build house. He transformed it from a small field into an area of beauty. He prepared meticulous plans for the hard landscaping and planting. He is very knowledgeable about plants and where they will thrive (our garden is heavy clay soil) so his recommendations were invaluable. He is very reliable, trustworthy and works incredibly hard. Paul did similar work for us last year and this is why we got him back again. It involved a lot of pruning and clearing established shrubs in a large sloping garden. He has done a splendid job and is very knowledgeable about plants. He works incredibly hard and the weather was fairly awful for the 3 days. He leaves everything neat and tidy on leaving. He is also extremely personable. Thank you.

Paul did an excellent job extending a patio area. He used reclaimed sleepers to shore up the grass bank and found similar paving slabs to complete the seating area. Very well done and he worked very hard. Would recommend his services

I can highly recommend Paul. He has transformed our garden from a jungle to a landscaped slope which we delight in looking at from our kitchen window. The planting has been very successful with a wide variety of bushes and flowers which Paul advised us would do well in our thin chalky soil. He has also brought under control trees and bushes in other parts of the front and rear gardens which had been neglected for too long. Ageing fence panels have also been replaced. Overall an excellent job which we hope he will have the time to maintain long term.

I needed my garden tidying up and an overgrown and unruly plant invading from my neighbour’s garden sorting out. Paul knew what to do and got the job done very efficiently leaving my garden with well nourished soil and replanted to meet my specifications. I’m very happy with his work and would recommend him to anyone with a garden disaster in need of care.

Paul Dix designs and plants gardens and does associated gardening work and maintenance. His designs are excellent and he provides detailed drawings showing accurately how the garden will look. He is very authoritative on plants and has great imagination. His rates are very reasonable and the work is done to the highest professional standards. I unhesitatingly give him my highest recommendation.
