We have ordered 2 doors for our last 2 projects and have found them to be very helpful and got us the doors on time. The doors are beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

I found this door on Pinterest and when my door gal told me she doesn’t have it but everyone asks about it, I knew I needed to find it as this was a home featured in a parade of homes. I found them and they were so easy to work with. The door is exactly what I wanted and they communicated and sent pictures through the process. We did the install, but had well trained professionals and I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone.

For our recently constructed dream house, we wanted the front door to create a "Wow" statement in terms of its overall aesthetics, durability and construction integrity. After a thorough and widespread search, we found the perfect match at Pivot Door. In addition to a great product selection, Pivot Door's sales and technical folks provided exemplary service.

Updated: 3.5 stars. Door itself 4.5-5 stars. Shipping time 1 star. Service overall 2 stars initially but 4-5 stars end of process. Finally received our "rush" shipping door right before Christmas (14 weeks order to delivery). Door itself is high quality and was reasonably easy for our contractors to stain, install, and seal. Ordering experience: We ordered a pivot door with two sidelights and a transom on September 17 and paid extra for rush shipping. We had to sign a contract and were told over and over again that our contractor would need to have the space ready to put in the door the moment it arrived or the warranty on the door would be voided (because it can warp and other bad things can happen if it sits in the crate). Given that it was a big project to get the space ready for the new door (not just replacing the current door), we took their estimated ship date and started the project in time to be ready for the door to arrive. In order to open up the entire front of the house, our contractor had to put in temp walls to close off the space for security (and to keep our house from being open to the elements). Rush shipping was supposed to happen at the 4 1/2 week point (cutting a couple weeks off the delivery time). Note they are still listing this timeframe on their website (despite it being a bold-faced lie). We're at the 11 1/2 week mark since ordering and about ten since signing off of the drawings and still no door. They have yet to receive the glass for it and every couple of days say that it "might" be in the next shipment. For some reason, their relationship with their glass vendor is so bad that they can't find out where our glass is in the queue or when it might be delivered (the last supposed date was Dec 3 which was missed). In the meantime, our disabled daughter is being held hostage in our house because she can't use the steps up to the garage and the flat way out is blocked off. Our house is freezing because the temp walls aren't insulated. They did finally refund the rush shipping charge (because let's face it, they haven't even met the standard 7 week shipping timeline listed on their website). I get there are supply chain issues due to covid, but be honest about it up front. Don't lie about shipping times to get business. Don't insist upon the work being done to get ready for the door if you can't make your timelines. Don't continually string your customers along but telling them it "should be in the next shipment" when it is clearly not. I would not have even ordered a wood door (that apparently can warp if not installed the moment it arrives) if they hadn't promised the fast shipping. Note that after submitting original review, the company got on top of things and were much better about communication and getting the door out the moment the transom glass got in (for whatever reason, the pieces of glass came in at 3 different times). They shipped Priority Fedex freight which took 5 days (Thursday to Tuesday).

We purchased a 6ft x 10ft pivot door for our custom home 5 years ago. Unfortunately we had to replace the first door after only 16 months due to severe warping that the company claimed was a result of too much exposure to the elements. The 6ft x 10ft door was installed in a NE facing home under an eave in Southern California, one of the most temperate climates in the world. The door's lower half received a couple of hours of morning sun a few months a year but only when it wasnt foggy in the mornings As anyone who has lived in So Call can attest, most days in the summer along the CA coast are socked in with fog. The small amount of sun and exposure to the weather is what the company claimed was the reason for the warping. Unfortunately as it turns out we contacted them a few weeks after the warranty had expired and they did not honor the warranty but instead, after many back and forths, finally offered us a discounted replacement option with a 3month warranty. We had no choice since the door no longer shut and replacing the entire frame and glass was extremely difficult and expensive so we paid a sizeable sum to have a replacement made and lose out on the original $15k cost of the first door, the labor for removal and installation and of course, finishing of the wood. Here we are 1.5years post the second door install and it too is warping, the finished wood laminate on the face is showing cracks and the seal on the bottom of the door has shrunk towards the center allowing a 2" gap at the base on both sides. Based on our experience we cannot recommend this company or their doors. You should try and find another solution. Our experiences with the products and the company were terrible and the fact that we spent close to $30k ( materials, labor, finishing) on two doors only to have to replace them both a few years later is ridiculous. While the door looked great for the first few months, if you are in a climate with sun, wind, rain, snow or air, or if your home actually needs a front door that shuts, look elsewhere. We really wanted a quality product to match our architecturally designed home but what we got was anything but… Caveat emptor.

I have recently received my pivot door to my home and could not be more disappointed with the experience. After several confirmations with sales associates and the delivery company the door showed up to my residence in an 18 wheel delivery truck (FedEx) with no liftgate. I paid $2000 for the delivery. I was reassured on at least 6 occasions that the door will be delivered to my garage. The crate was 10ft by 10 ft and the weight was close to 1000 pounds. I had to call 3 neighbors and spent over an hour uncrating the door and then lifting it off the truck to my garage. What horrible service and a dishonest approach by this company as they sold me this product and took full payment. I called Curtis Rockwell at Pivot Door and his customer services consisted of “I should have read the fine print on my contract”. He didn’t show any concern for the consumer and basically advise that this is standard for hire company. Buyer beware since I thought conversations with sales assocaites was enough confirmation. Note the quality of the door was average 5 out 10 and the threshold was all scraped on delivery and the door was full of sawdust. They don’t seem to have a inspection protocol before shipping. I would not recommend this company.

We just finished a major renovation, and without a doubt the Pivot Door Company was the best experience we had. Lots of problems with other trades, but Pivot Door Co 1) followed up on the order and asked questions to make sure it was right (I wish more people did that) 2) Shipped it on time and was well packaged 3) Looks beautiful 4) Works flawlessly. It must weigh a ton but I can open it with very little effort. Every person who comes to our house oohs and aahs on the front door. Money well spent.

We contacted them and emailed our plans for our front door. They were great to work with. Very affordable. Had our door shipped in a timely manner. My husband said the door we wanted was to expensive. So I got on houzz.com and the pivot door company made my dream door for me at a affordable price.

Our pivot door is fantastic! It turned out beautiful and we get compliments on it all the time. It's Definately unique to our small town and has made our front entrance so much more of a focal point. It's also much more energy efficient than the door and side panels that we replaced it with.
