Lux Design Associates

Sadly Patty’s design did not work for us. We have a first floor den with a full bath that we use as a den and guest bedroom. We had an older functional full size futon and two chairs. We wanted to pretty it up. I thought that Patty understood we needed something for sleeping on. When the furniture came in it was a small couch with a 3 foot lounge. Certainly nothing any adult could sleep on. The whole point of us replacing what we had was lost. This was not a sleeping lounge at all. We are back to our original futon. So basically we spent $8,000 and are no better than we started.

Lux Design was great to work with. Patty met with me a week after our initial phone conversation. She was attentive to our cultural tastes. She completed our basement and installed our home gym. The outcome was fabulous!

She did a few rooms for me in the past few years. And they were good. So I hired her to do master bedroom which was my most recent project with Patty. I did Custom shades on 3 windows.Custom bedding. Custom sofa. Custom ottoman and some other furniture. Here's my issue with Patty. She had no intention of hooking up the TV. In fact I had to run out at the last minute and buy a new TV to fit the proportions of the new design. Old TV with newly redecorated, custom made bedroom? I had to beg/insist that she hang up the new TV which I ran out and bought at the last minute. Patty said that she did not bring her AV person because it wasn't a media room. This was not convenient. I still have to figure out what to do with the wires that are hanging in this otherwise beautifully renovated room; I do want to add to this review that I love my surroundings. Master bedroom is incredibly breathtaking and great to hang out in. In addition, the Living Room/Dining room is beautiful also. The best part about this designer is that you will love hanging out in the rooms the designs for you.

We are so thrilled by the transformation of our main level due to Patty's talent. We were having trouble combining a traditional residence with our new modern farmhouse residence and Patty really delivered! I am speechless as we now have the most beautiful dining room and family room that we've ever had! Patty truly listened to my desire for color and class. She incorporated our current furniture with new transitional decor and it is truly spectacular! Patty is a true professional from start to finish! I highly recommend her and will be calling her for a basement transformation!

I feel like I won the lottery with respect to finding Patty. My home was showing the 30+ years of wear and tear that comes with daily living, raising children, and having pets. I kept putting off updates, as I don't feel confident in pulling things together. I retired in 2020, and sitting in my home, made me realize just how much of a downer it was to be surrounded by overall drabness and furniture that was past its time. I live in a townhouse and wanted my main living area renovated. I did an internet search. Patty was the first to return my outreach. On her first visit, I knew I had the person I wanted to work with. I knew the exact feeling I wanted the rooms to convey and she did not try to talk me out of it. I love to travel and have always been mesmerized by the mansions of the wealthy and their rooms surrounded by amazing art and set up ready for afternoon tea. Well, I've got that (on a 500 sq ft level)! I very much look forward to working with her in the future…I still have 2 more levels to update! You will find Patty one of the most punctual people you will ever meet. …and I thought I was a perfectionist; man does she have me beat. She walked through every renovation update and if she saw the slightest imperfection, she would have her crew back in to fix it. In addition, she kept me abreast via text messages every bit of the way with deliveries and renovation timelines. There were no surprises and no disappointments. It was a one stop shopping experience…all I had to do was text and answer the doorbell when it rang.

When I purchased my home in CT, I knew I needed help dealing with the outdated green carpets and pink & blue tiled bathrooms. A good friend of mine in a Virginia reccomended reaching out to Patty for a video consultation, and within minutes I knew I had to get her up here. Patty’s ability to look at a room and and visualize the transformation before putting pen to paper is unbelievable. She was able to transform my outdated 1950’s house into a beautiful, modern home and blew my expectations out of the water. Her attention to detail every step of the way as we went from room to room made me comfortable throughout the whole process, and I couldn’t be happier with her efforts. She completely re-designed my kitchen, living room, two bathrooms, and master bedroom.

Working with Patty is phenomenal! She transformed my kids' game room, which was filled with old and miss-matched furniture, into an inviting, relaxing and cool teenage hangout space. Patty's design process is great. She sat with me to understand my requirements and budget. Then she sat with my son to get an idea of his vision, likes, and dislikes. She listened and totally NAILED it. My son and his friends are using the space every day! I highly recommend working with Lux Design! Patty has unique ideas, a great eye for color and design and above all, she is such a pleasure to work with!

I searched interviewed several interior designers before I chose Lux Design Associates. Patty is great to work with. She takes time to understand her client's needs and limitations. She has great taste bur more importantly, she recommends the RIGHT item, color, scheme or design. She is very responsive (BIG PLUS), excellent work quality, and easy to work with! Patty did a wonderful job of decorating our entire home. We had never worked with a designer before and she was patient, courteous and timely. She has a great eye and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Particularly fun, was that she sent us out for the day while she completely remade our home and we were able to come home to a big reveal!
