We used Proyecto for a complete renovation of our primary bathroom in our 1920s Spanish Mediterranean house in Berkeley. This was a down-to-the-studs remodel, and we ended up with a gorgeous and much more functional bathroom that is somehow modern, timeless, elegant, and fits in with the rest of the house, all at once. We brought our own designer (Amber Evans of Evans Design Studio). We were delighted with Proyecto's work, both in terms of quality / fit-and-finish and execution. Despite the project having some complications (e.g. having to relocate some walls and doorways, realizing the need for a new structural supporting roof beam, etc.) they did an excellent job keeping everything on track and maintaining open lines of communication throughout the process. Would absolutely recommend to anyone considering higher-end remodeling or new construction work.

Proyecto just finished a complete down to the studs remodel of our Berkeley Hills home. All of the work is top notch and the house turned out beautiful with true quality and craftsmanship. Completing the remodel during the pandemic definitely brought its challenges, but Abe and his team were able to ensure that our project was prioritized and supply chain was never really an issue. I want to specially call out Joe on his team that went above and beyond in coordinating the contractors on site and ensuring all of our questions and concerns were addressed. With Proyecto I always felt well represented and involved with the remodel process. This was our first remodel so we definitely had a lot of questions, but Proyecto was always there to answer them and guide us in the right direction. Nystrom Design is a local interior design firm, and we just completed a full-house remodel project with Proyecto. They were involved in the early planning stages with cost estimating and scheduling to ensure that the project would meet the homeowner's budget expectations and timeframe. The project was completed quickly and skillfully. We had a very complicated custom tile pattern in the master bathroom, and their tilers did a beautiful and meticulous job executing the installation. Proyecto was willing to work with us on custom details, and helped us resolve a few unexpected conditions that arose during the process. We had a terrific experience with Proyecto, and can recommend them unreservedly. They worked on our kitchen and dining room remodel, and the quality of their work is truly very good. They showed up for work on time each and every day for months (it was a sizeable job), and were always friendly and professional, and cleaned up each day. Their communication is good, and everyone we interacted with had positive energy. They were very flexible to accomodate my wife's and my requests, and most often did not seek to profit from change orders, which is unheard of and extremely refreshing. Thanks to the whole team at Proyecto for a job well done. A leaky laundry room led us to seek the help of Proyecto. We ended up with a beautiful kitchen, along with a great pantry, laundry room, new flooring, and a deck walkway from the garage to the backyard. Having a dedicated project manager and a clear budget kept the 6-month multi-space project moving forward. Having a kind, clean, and courteous team allowed us to continue to live in our house with our 4-year-old for the entire project. When issues arose, the team was professional and made appropriate fixes and accommodations. We are pleased!

We had a great experience with Proyecto. They did a full kitchen + bathroom renovation and we are very happy with the results! Pros: -The job crew was great - very friendly and professional, the work is high quality, and they fixed some stuff that had been done incorrectly in a previous renovation. -There was very little project management on our part involved; everything happened more or less seamlessly and they finished the main renovation, barring some smaller punch list items, on time. Cons: -There was less design help, or I guess less good design help, than we expected for a design + build firm; the designer didn't really take into account our specific asks / style and we ended up more or less going our own way. She was still helpful in guiding us on the basics and working with the cabinet and appliance suppliers. -There was some work done a bit sloppily but they fixed everything when it was pointed out.
