Craig Race Architecture

Craig has been working with my husband and I to design our house addition. Since the beginning Craig has made multiple site visits to ensure all aspects of our addition were discussed and that decisions were made collectively. Craig's passion for architecture, design as well as modernism definitely shines through and his work ethic is something to be admired. Craig took the time to develop a professional working relationship with us which definitely helped to ensure our addition felt like home. Craig took the time to patiently answer any questions we had during the design phase. (trust me I had a lot of questions). Craig also ensured his design was within our budget- something we definitely appreciated. We have renovated our home numerous times and we have never felt more comfortable with a renovation as we do with Craig on our team. We had some tight deadlines throughout our planning process and Craig was able to meet every one. Craig's skillset is broad in that he can handle any size renovation from start to finish. We would recommend Craig to anyone.

Craig and I have worked together on many projects. I first hired him in 2012 to work with me on the design of my family’s laneway house in Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood. We rebuilt an existing, illegally converted garage apartment, including adding a second floor addition to the structure. Throughout this process, Craig was very professional and patient and his ideas and insight proved valuable in navigating the design and approval process, which was challenging to say the least. Since completing my first house with Craig, I have hired him for my family’s next house. He has been great to work with, and I strongly recommend reaching out to him if you are planning on undertaking a substantial renovation or building a custom home.
