Chris was dishonest and our bathrooms look terrible- uneven tile, mismatched grout, etc, etc, Please read all the other reviews and save your time and money, hire someone else. I was going to write a lengthy negative review, but I have already wasted so much time, energy and money working with this company.

Do NOT hire Rocky Mountain Shore Construction for any remodeling project! A master bathroom remodel we were told would take 3 weeks, took over 5 months due his lack of supervision, no resources, no credit, using Craig’s List for unskilled subs, continual family issues and excuses, having to redo bathroom sections because of improper work, and many no-show days. Final workmanship is substandard as viewed by experienced tile contractors we brought in. And oh my goodness the mess and waste by both him and his subs! Have photos to prove it all. He was deceitful about his background experience, the ordering of any supplies, his work plans, and his family situations.

I worked with this company as an architect, and there were definitely some unprofessional practices. The other reviews sound familiar. Advice from an architect: 1) Never pay a contractor in advance (once a contractor is ahead of the billing, it is tempting to shutdown). 2) Insist on receipts 3) Pay for work ONLY when it's completed 4) Do not pay for Materials in advance. THIS IS THE CONTRACTOR's JOB 5) Insist on seeing mechanics liens, this ensures that the contractor is actually paying his/her subs...they can come after you, if the GC doesn't pay them. Thankfully I think Shore Contruction will be out of business, but please be aware out there.

My husband and I hired Rocky Mountain Shore Construction and Chris Shore for a $420,000 addition to our home in Aurora, Colorado which was a HUGE mistake. In our opinion, the work was of poor quality, and not up to industry standards. Materials and supplies paid for were repeatedly attempted to be substituted for inferior and cheaper grades. This general contractor stalls payment and bounced checks to subcontractors with multiple subcontractors wanting payment from us; put indoor electrical wire outside that would eventually rot; put indoor electrical rated boxes on the outside; caused the house to back up from carbon monoxide on 3 separate occasions; water leaked into the house from the roof every time it rained (multiple gallons each time over a two month time period; flooded the basement; doors and windows not hung squarely or plumb; improper grading on the ground causing the outside air conditioner unit to sink into the ground and tilt against the house. Mr. Shore used another company's business to pull a building permit, but the owner of the other company informed my husband that he was unaware of Mr. Shore using his company's name for our permit. Timely inspections did not occur; Mr. Shore was rarely on the job site and when subcontractors would come, they would not have supplies or materials. He turned a 4 month project into a 10+ month project by not having people show up, not returning calls, emails or text messages. He cancelled his liability insurance policy before final completion of the project, has several lawsuits and an arbitration by us pending against him and multiple felony convictions in California. As my husband keeps saying "we paid for lobster and didn't even get hamburger."

BEWARE! This company is very unreliable. We gave them a deposit for work which was never done and they kept our money. They start out all enthusiastic until you give them a deposit and then you can never get hold of them. They do not return calls. They were unable to get a permit approved for our work because of unresponsiveness and will not return our deposit. BEWARE!
