4G Design Build

We used 4G to create our floor plans for us. We worked with Kayla and had a great experience! She listened to all the things we were looking for in a home and created a plan that exactly fit our needs. We couldn’t be more happy with how the final plan turned out and are excited to start the build. Highly recommend using 4G!

If you’re looking for a top-notch builder, we highly recommend 4G Design Build. We actually built our house from out-of-state which seems like a logistical nightmare, but we honestly had such confidence in Sam and his staff from day one. The communication through their Basecamp emails included updates and pictures of every phase of the build so we always felt like we were in the loop. Kayla took our design ideas and even with some last minute major curveballs thrown at her, designed a house that perfectly reflected our wishes. Denae made selecting our finishes so easy at 4G’s beautiful showroom. Our project manager, Nick, was great to work with as well. He kept the build on track even when presented with some out-of-the-norm challenges. I honestly can’t say enough about how much we appreciated the honesty, integrity and work ethic of the entire 4G team. And as for the house, it surpassed our expectations in every way. I just can’t believe how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful and well-constructed home.

My Wife and I worked with 4G to design and build our home and we couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out. Some friends of ours had built with 4G previously, so when we decided to build, we reached out to Sam & Denae and they walked us through every step of the process. Sam even came with us to look at different lots so he could help us determine if they would be a good fit for our build. Once we found our lot, Sam & Denae worked closely with us to design the perfect house to fit our family’s needs. They helped us choose features & finishes that look great and fit within our budget. Even in the midst of Covid supply chain issues, they did their best to source materials and keep our project on time. When issues arose (as they always do with a new build) they always communicated with us and explained our options. They made the design process fun and the building process less stressful through their hard work and communication. We are thrilled with our new home and would recommend 4G to anyone looking to build a custom home.

We recently worked with 4G to design our house near Lake Norman. We are novices at building a home and Sam, Denae and Kayla did a great job at navigating us through the process. In particular, Denae and Kayla took our initial inspiration and patiently incorporated our modifications and revisions through several iterations to give us exactly the layout and floor plan that we were looking for. Denae then guided us through all of the detailed selections, providing extremely beneficial advice and suggestions along the way. We can't wait to see our dream become a reality!

Building a new home is never easy, but 4G Build Design goes out of their way to make the process both easy, and enjoyable. I remember a few years ago when I was researching custom home builders. After much research, I called and sent out emails to approx. six different custom builders in the Lake Norman area. Much to my surprise, Sam was the ONLY ONE who actually replied!! I still find this unbelievable, but I guess in this day and age, "it is, what it is"? From the time we met Sam & Denae, Judy and I felt we found a builder with the utmost integrity, honesty, and a commitment to make our dreams come true. In other words, just "good folks". From architectural design (Justin nailed it!!), to lot selection, pricing, tracking the build process through Base Camp, and everything in between, 4G made the process as easy as it can be when building a new home. Did we have any problems? Of course we did, and our lot was very challenging to build on. But Sam and the 4G crew always turned a negative into a positive, was always very understanding, and fair with any changes or costs associated with it. Ultimately, we ended up with a well built, beautiful custom home that we love. The folks at 4G are wonderful people, great builders, and very professional with everything they do. We'd recommend 4G Build Design to anyone who asked, and we have. Thank you 4G for our beautiful home!!

We’re so happy with our new 4G home and highly recommend them to others thinking of having a custom home built! We worked with Sam and Denae through designs, modifications, color choices, cabinetry, even details like window grids in the glass, the many grout colors, etc, etc! And they made the process so we weren’t overwhelmed. What a nice experience and 4G provided exactly what we wanted. When we thought the home design was great already, Denae made even better suggestions, e.g., bumping in the fireplace/chimney a foot to accent it from the wall and accenting it even further with a couple shades darker paint and wrap around mantle! It looks awesome! 4G worked with us through a tough pandemic period and still provided upbeat and timely build progress which also gave us tremendous flexibility to plan our out-of-state travels to come see the home at any and all stages if we chose to. We received photos of work completed and calls when they had questions of designs and installations while subcontractors were there making the installations! E.g., asking ‘where exactly would we like plumbing pipes’ and with covid-related appliance delays asking us ‘are we ok with the delay or would we like another model?’. We don’t know of other builders that work so closely with the homebuyer and provide such excellent choices and with such pleasant tone. Each time we visited the home progress we were happily amazed at the workmanship and surprised at the terrific 4G design touches. They are truly a custom home builder that cares about the homebuyer and we’re so happy with our new home!

The entire process from our initial meeting with the vision of what we wanted in our forever home, to planning, making finish decisions, all the way to moving in was almost seamless. The up front design and pricing process gave us confidence in what the final product would be and an expectation for pricing. Then 4G delivered exactly as planned providing a great home - - on budget. The amount of customization available and what 4G is willing to accomplish was amazing and resulted in a one-of-a-kind home that is exactly what we drew out in our minds… with some very helpful input from Denae. We highly recommend the 4G build and design team to build your next home. We knew right way during our first interview with Sam that 4G was the company we wanted to build our home. Sam was friendly and very knowledgeable and provided us with tasks we needed to take care of right away, whether we contracted with him or not (the other two builders we interviewed didn’t offer this information). After signing the contract to begin the build, COVID caused prices to increase. Sam was very fair, giving us the opportunity to cancel with a refund, put the project on hold, or to move forward. We decided to move forward with the project and we’re so glad we did! Jumping to the point where we were ready to select everything for the house, we can’t express how invaluable having a design center is when building a home. Denae guided us throughout the selection process, keeping us within our budget as much as possible. We even selected a few items that were below our budget, which off-set the items where we went above it. Denae would gently let us know if something we were considering was not perhaps the best option and provided other selections for consideration. With Denae’s guidance, we selected the most beautiful cabinets, faucets, flooring, trim…everything, that we could possibly have dreamed of! She made the selection process stress-free, easy and, dare I say, fun! During the build itself, the entire team at 4G was available for questions, suggestions, you name it, reducing and even eliminating the stress of building a home. The team’s attention to little details was very impressive. “Basecamp” is a tool 4G uses for most communications. Basecamp was a fantastic way to not only keep track of each process with pictures and messages, but it proved to be a very useful tool to be able to trace back to those pictures and messages when we needed to remind ourselves of things we just couldn’t remember. Last, but by no means least, our Project Manager, Kenny Brown, was just fabulous! He constantly kept us informed of what was happening each step of the way and made sure everything was done to our standards, and above. We even gained a dear friend with Kenny and are very thankful for that. We are just thrilled with our new home and can’t say enough good things about the entire 4G Build team!

We recently had 4G Design Build provide architectural design services for our home in South Charlotte and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our initial meeting was with Sam and Kayla (Schippert) and they really impressed us with their professionalism and knowledge. When I was looking for a builder it was important to me that they could assist with bringing my vision to fruition, operate with integrity, and work with me to stay within budget. 4G was that company! I have interviewed many builders before meeting with 4G. When I met Sam and his team I knew instantly that I wanted them building my house. They were so personable and welcoming. Kayla, the designer, captured my thoughts and the blueprints were perfect!! It was extremely hard to walk away due to the market of today. However, I highly recommend Sam and his company.
