About Us

At Berninger Designs, LLC our goal is to have no two home alike. Lead designer, Sara Berninger, is dedicated to approaching design from a personal perspective, whereby each client's home (primary or vacation) is a reflection of them. She started her career over 15 years ago in Ohio and has since built a strong portfolio in Cincinnati and Dayton. Sara's expertise in design and remodeling, has led her to work with clients in Denver, Chicago, and Florida. She approaches designs from the client's perspective and genuinely believes each home should be as unique and as heartfelt as the individuals occupying it. Her expertise extends from single family residential, vacation properties, and commercial properties to home staging and holiday decorating. The majority of Sara’s projects are currently taking place throughout Colorado and Ohio but she has a passion for working with clients everywhere.

When building a new house, I consulted Sara to help with selections. She really helped me through an overwhelming process by assembling color and texture combinations that were so unique and completely perfect. After we moved in, she returned to help with furniture selection and custom window treatments. Soup to nuts, she can provide it all. Amazing talent.

I have been working with Sara for the past year and a half redoing my first floor with new color palate, rugs, furniture, lighting etc. she has given me the "big picture" and allowed me to purchase as I have been able. She responds promptly to my questions, is very up to date with all new décor, works with variable budgeting, and is very approachable/kind/flexible!! I absolutely love her and have enjoyed working with her. She is always on time for apt (usually early) and gets to work quickly focusing on the task at hand. I have recommended her to my friends and feel confident in recommending her on this site.

Sara helped me with a first floor and kitchen update. She was instrumental to my project. She guided me through hardwood flooring selection, cabinet glazing, granite, tile, lighting and paint colors. Sara made the first floor and kitchen flow together. The project was less stressful working with Sara. She was always accessible and professional. I plan to use her for my next project.
