My husband, Bob, and I were thoroughly happy and pleased with the beautiful custom home that Jay Scott, owner of Scott Homes, built for us. Jay is very professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable about home construction. We highly recommend him and his team as custom home builders. If we had to do it all over again we would still choose Scott Homes without a question. We can’t say enough good things about Jay, his lead man Patrick or Monique. Patrick always went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything was done professionally and with the utmost of quality and workmanship. Patrick is a hands on guy and always did what needed to be done to get the job done and done right. Monique was a pleasure to work with as well and was very helpful with picking out all the details. Whenever we needed to contact one of them we never felt like we were bothering them and they always responded in a timely matter. Jay did exactly what he promised to do for us. When we had a plumbing issue while still under the one year warranty it was taken care of promptly and correctly with no short cuts taken. We could not be more pleased with the quality of our beautiful home and how easy Jay and his crew were to work with.

Scott Homes, Inc. built our new home in the Village at Waterside in 2014. Jay Scott worked with us from the beginning, before we even bought the property, and advised us all through the process of looking at plans, making modifications to those plans, getting it approved by the architectural committe of the neighborhood, choosing materials, finishes, everything. Jay estimated how much it would cost to build our house and met with us several times during the 8 month build to keep us on track. In the end his estimate was very accurate, and we couldn't be happier with the house. We added a huge stone wall and fireplace in the basement but still managed to come in right on budget or very close. Jay has a good group of subcontractors for the excavation, the concrete work, framing, siding and cornices, drywall, trim, painting, landscape design, etc., and they all did excellent work. If it wasn't excellent, Jay made sure it was corrected. Some of the guys who went "above and beyond" working with us were Joel, Omar, Donnie, J.D., Mario, and D.J. Jay has a superintendent, Patrick, who oversaw our build on a daily basis. And I mean that he was on-site everyday for almost the entire project. Patrick made sure that we received everything we paid for, that things were done right, that the site was tidy on a daily basis, and much more. Patrick ran his own trim business for 20+ years, and he insists that the subs do things the right way everyday. Patrick is the hardest working man I've ever met. I've just never met anyone who has the work ethic he does, or is more determined to satisfy the client. We really enjoyed working working with Scott Homes, Inc. It was a fun process and we are thrilled with the house.
