Atlas Moran Construction did an excellent job on the renovation of our 1940 house original bathroom. Our experience was above the expectation staring from the beginning of the project to the final complete. The project went seamlessly and completed on time. Atlas Moran Construction company hire qualified workers and reputable and quality subcontractors. We were staying/living in house during the project and despite the anticipated dust and disruption it went painless and the crew was very respectful to our privacy and the property and belongings. Definitely, we would recommend the company and also planning to work with Atlas Moran Construction on our future house project. We are very happy with our new bathroom. It was a real pleasure to work with Sean, Tom and Jennings on our project.

After a wonderful bathroom renovation in 2012, in 2017 we again chose Atlas Moran to build a complete renovation of our 1930 style Cape Cod to a 21st century Arts & Crafts two-story home. While this could have been a complete teardown, Sean Moran worked with us to maintain the elements of the home we had raised our children in. The inside was gutted in the back, while we maintained the front part of the house, including the living room with its fireplace, the music room, and renovated bathroom. Everything else in the house changed. Sean worked closely with our architect, Liz Craver, to ensure that every detail was attended to. When we decided (part way through) to flip the kitchen from one side of the house to the other, Sean and Liz worked through that seamlessly. Atlas Moran’s carpenters can not be bested. Consummate professionals, their attention to detail never wavered from the staircase to the moldings, the doorways to the window frames, everything is perfect. Lead carpenter, Greg Rizzardi, was friendly and accommodating on my far too many visits to check on the project. He worked with me to create details that many would not notice, but he knew I would. Sean’s vendors were perfect in every way, and there is a reason he wanted us to use them. When we arrived at showrooms, the budget was in place, the contractors knew their products, they allowed space for private marital discussions, and seemed to catch on to our tastes quickly. We never felt pressure to upscale, and we got great personal insights from each vendor. The project hit last-minute hiccups because of our whims, and still, we were in the house within two weeks of Sean’s target date established 9 months earlier. While this is absolutely our dream home that we love, it is also a NARI Metro DC CotY Award Winner, 2020. We thoroughly recommend Atlas Moran without hesitation.

We hired Atlas Moran in the fall of 2018 to completely redesign and rebuild our 60-yr old 1 story rambler. What transpired over the following 17 months was a total transformation of our home. We reworked our entire first floor to be more open and functional, and added a 2nd story for a master suite, 2 bedrooms, office and laundry room. My wife and I have absolutely nothing but amazing things to say about Sean Moran and his team. The project was on schedule and on budget, aside from some upgrades that we chose to engage on during the project. There were no unpleasant surprises and certainly none of the horror stories we’ve heard from some people who undertake major projects with a builder of lesser quality. His build team was incredible - his subcontractors were top quality and our project lead was on top of every single detail. Sean’s architect, Matthew Guenther, was also great to work with and had an incredible knack for making our vision a reality. Our project was not easy, and my wife and I have some very particular tastes. Neither Matt nor Sean were ever fazed by our detailed questions and careful decision making process. I can’t recommend Sean and his team highly enough.

We had a great experience with Atlas Moran Construction and are so happy with how our large addition turned out. I was very satisfied with the guidance they provided in deciding on design details and their ability to bring that design to life. We were also on a budget and we were able to keep to it with no surprise costs. The lead carpenter on the project, Greg Rizzardi, was very professional and very nice to work with on a day to day basis. We worked with Atlas Moran Construction to completely change the front of our house: both the facade and the layout of the front half of the house as well as a few other things (kitchen and back of the house lighting, tile work in the kitchen, heating system). He referred us to an architect for plans and worked with us through the process, giving us options, comparing prices, providing expert recommendations for the many decisions we had to make. Sean worked hard to minimize the discomfort and inconveniences of living through a renovation and did a great job of keeping the area safe and clean so that we could continue with our lives. We especially enjoyed the company and and skill of the painters and the carpenters. We are very pleased with the results and have received many positive comments about the design and construction since we finished the project. Sean was on site continually and always took time to address any concerns or questions or resolve issues. Sean was professional in every way and we would gladly recommend him and his company.

We had an excellent experience with Atlas Moran Construction. The project was completed within two weeks of the anticipated deadline and we are very happy with the results. Sean has been great to come back and correct all of the minor little things that always come up after you "think" the project is finished. We found him to be open and agreeable to our suggestions and minor design changes. His subcontractors were equally skilled, pleasant and professional in the execution of their respective parts of the renovation.

We hired Sean to gut and renovate our 2 original upstairs bathrooms and our kitchen. We also wanted the laundry room moved upstairs, which involved changes to 2 of the upstairs bedrooms and linen closet to create the space for the laundry room. But gutting the bathrooms meant taking everything to the studs and replacing all the insulation from the garage up to the attic in that space. It was a major project! We lived in our house during the renovation. Sean is very organized and does a fantastic job planning the project so that the budget is clear and the disruption is as minimal as possible. He works with excellent subcontractors for electrical and plumbing and outside vendors and I found working with all of them to be a pleasure. They took the budget that Sean gave them and helped me work within it while giving me choices. A large renovation seemed very daunting to us, but when Sean detailed the entire project step by step and outlined each aspect of the budget, we felt comfortable and in control. Each day, the workers thoroughly cleaned up the site so that it was safe for us, our 2 children and our dog. The intrusion was as minimal as it could be and we found the workers friendly, pleasant and respectful of our space. The true test of a good contractor is how the inevitable problems and bumps in the road are handled and Sean was responsive to every issue that arose and bent over backward to make sure the project was completed to our total satisfaction. We are thrilled with the results and recommend Atlas Moran without hesitation.

We really enjoyed working with Sean. We had a 1930s bathroom that really needed an update. Sean came in and gave us exactly what we wanted. When we bumped into a structural issue Sean came up with a clever, beautiful solution. Sean communicated well and was commited to a beautiful project.

We hired Sean to put a 2-story addition on to our 1941 Colonial. He and his crew did an excellent job making the old house and the new addition fuse into one modern day home. He is very thorough and extremely trust-worthy. We are satisfied with his work and would highly recommend him.
