Our project was a complete demo and renovation of our master bathroom. My husband and I are beyond pleased and enjoying our new bathroom! I don't think we can even put into words. The craftsmanship is spectacular and if you are able to - don't hesitate on using Shank Building and Design.

Using his wife's excellent design, Larry completely transformed a dark, unappealing room into space that includes an office/craft room, a sitting room, and a laundry room. He also added onto the original space a large, downstairs bedroom and a beautiful bathroom with a zero entry shower. The formerly dark space is now sunny and extremely functional, and the bedroom and bathroom ensure that we will be able to stay in our home for years to come. Larry is a hands-on contractor, and his work is excellent. From the beautiful finishes inside to perfectly matching existing brick and roofing outside, the end product is solid and lovely. He began this project on time, and completed it with few if any delays. I highly recommend him.

second time we've used Wendy for the design work and Larry for the construction and it was another wonderful experience. We greatly appreciated Wendy's patience and creative solutions for our "quirks". and the project was all that we expected it to be. Oh yea, and it was on budget! Project included adding an all season sun room, gut and redo of the kitchen including opening it up to the family room plus some freshening in some other areas.

The Shank husband-wife team is a dynamic duo when it comes to design expertise and building excellence. After using their skills for a kitchen and master bath remodel in the past, they are teaming up again on our behalf for a downstairs master suite addition. In conjunction with dealing with super-confident subcontractors, their projects are completed in a timely manner. I most appreciate their attention to detail and notifying me if a set appointment with anyone on the project was delayed even 15 minutes later than scheduled. I am amazed at the quality of their work and their ability to give their customers what they want in fresh and innovative ways at a competitive price. The quality of work and attention to detail of Shank Building & Design exceeded our expectations. They are accustomed to higher end customers, but were willing to work within our more modest budget to transform our tiny outdated kitchen (with an L-shaped counter jutting out to create a major traffic bottleneck). They gutted the space and opened up the entire space creating a light filled kitchen with an island, perfect for food prep and serving our guests. It has transformed our ability to host larger groups. Our small house now "lives" larger than its actual specs.
