Susanne designed and built our house on Lake Glenville. Susanne drew up plans that accommodated all of our requests for the project. She did a great job of planning for contingencies based on lot slope and base materials. The building process took 18 months and Susanne overcame various obstacles during the process related to the pandemic like sourcing and cost increases. We constantly had to substitute materials and modify the plans to manage material lead times and cost. Labor was also a huge issue and she did a wonderful job of finding alternate sub-contractors to complete the work. Susanne's demeanor is her biggest asset. She is very calm and creative in managing through inevitable problems that arise in the building process. She does a great job of building relationships with her subs and suppliers that served her well during the pandemic. Susanne found solutions to every problem (some unprecedented) that came up during this challenging time. Susanne's focus on quality not quantity is what makes her one of the most desirable contractors in the area.

Susanne Moore worked with us to both design and build our "dream" home in the mountains of western NC, which from design to completion took approx. 2 years from fall, 2014 to December, 2016. Not only was Susanne a consummate professional as the contractor for this project, she was also personally involved with us in solving issues which always arise in building a totally custom home. Working with her, we achieved the end result we had hoped for and are totally satisfied. She was available when we needed her and remained very transparent in keeping us informed at all times regarding the cost of labor and materials going into the house. Working onsite during most of the construction, it was apparent that Susanne uses only reputable subcontractors and is respected by them. Susanne also has a keen eye for detail, both in design and construction, whether it be a remodeling project or new construction. We would not hesitate to recommend her and her company to anyone wishing to build or remodel in the Highlands Cashiers Plateau area of western NC. Karen & George

We were very fortunate to be able to hire Moore Construction to complete our bonus room over the garage. Suzanne had built our home in 2008 and we just bought it December 2016. We love every inch of our home which was designed and built both with an artistic eye and to need a minimum of maintenance to last forever. Suzanne matched our bonus room to the rest of the house so it also has wood floors and a plank ceiling complete with beams. All of the crews of men: the carpenters, drywall, drywall mud, floor finishers and painters were absolutely delightful, and it was all an effortless pleasure for us with Suzanne expertly handling everything. My husband and I had not had the vision that the bonus room could match the rest of the house, so we are so thrilled with this large additional beautiful space that far exceeded our expectations.

I have had a very disappointing experience with this company. I wish I could rate it zero stars. My family had Susanne Moore come out to our house on Lake Glenville last fall to see if her company could help us with a remodel and to bid on the job. She returned a second time with her brother so we thought she was interested in working with us. We were under the impression she would get back to us over the winter. We hadn't heard anything by January and since we were traveling out to the area I suggested via an email getting together for an update. There was no response so I sent a second email and left a phone message. I never heard back. After 4 more weeks I sent an email suggesting she was no longer interested in working with us since I never heard from her and asked if she would at least provide us with the courtesy of letting us know for sure so we could move on with our renovation plans. To this day I have never heard a word. I am a business owner myself and in my opinion this lack of action is both unprofessional and uncaring. My experience has shown me that how you are treated initially is how you will be treated ongoing. I can only imagine what working with this business would have been like. I do not recommend this company for your construction needs.
