Sondra was excellent with my “High Style” design. She assisted in all the fabric choices, furniture and wallpaper selections. Sondra has helped us with several remodeling projects and her guidance is always spot on and so valuable! Whether working with our 92 year old home or our modern lake front property, her unique ideas and insight have been the key to turning our design vision into reality.

We enjoyed working with SKP Design to create a new look for our guest rooms. The design is simple and contemporary. We like the fun pop of color in the bathrooms and the custom headboards with built in lighting that create ambiance in the room.

After researching our options in the area, we chose Sondra and are so glad we did! She has a way of bringing her expertise to the table while incorporating our personal preferences. My previous designer with a different project kept pushing for things that were that designers taste, not mine. Sondra went with our sense of style that we wanted and then combined that with her expertise to create an amazingly dreamy atmosphere. She is absolutely fantastic!!

I went with Sondra and SKP Design after sending out a flurry of requests to local interior design companies. Most of them didn't even respond, but a couple/few did. Sondra just had the right communication style right off the bat for my gut to go with her. I'm glad I did. She knows her stuff, and she really helped me navigate the process of selecting a style and general color scheme for my house. Then, she helped me zero in on the exact tones (or is it shades or hues?!) of the colors I'd decided upon as well as the carpet style and color. In a world of too much information and choice, interior design is near the top of the list in things like that, and I was overwhelmed. Sondra helped distill it for me after listening to the information that I had encountered during my initial design research. Her experience and creativity really came through. I think the best part of working with Sondra, though, is her personality. She instantly feels like an old friend and I was immediately comfortable with her and trusting of her abilities. I could go on, but you really have enough to go on to give her a call and find out for yourself. You can't go wrong!

We had a consult at SKP Design office where designers answered our questions and provided suggestions for our renovation (overlays were used for ideas) Prior to meeting we had provided pictures of the project and layout. Our projects include kitchen and master bath reno, feature wall in living room to update dated gas fireplace, and opening up pass through from dining area to living area. We discussed kitchen and bathroom design options including floor plan, traffic flow, considerations for finishes. Ideas for furniture placement also reviewed.. My husband and I just finished the enormous undertaking of building our custom dream home. After interviewing area interior designers, we hired SKP Design. I worked almost exclusively with lead designer and project manager, Cassandra Ritchie. Cassi proved to be an invaluable asset to us in the building process and was intimately involved from exterior material selection down to furniture placement. I have so many good things to say about Cassi! She is the consummate professional- organized, knowledgeable, quick to respond, reliable, and articulate. She has fabulous taste and is up to date on design trends. Creatively, I felt comfortable brainstorming with Cassi. She spoke my language and was able to execute the vision. Cassi used computer programs like Sketchup and Photoshop to depict complicated design concepts like our custom fireplace. She also provided our builder with in-depth technical drawings using AutoCAD, helping to ensure our vision came to life. Cassi worked tirelessly as a liaison between us and our builder and subcontractors. She coordinated meetings, dealt with pricing/budgeting, trouble shot issues, and often propelled the build timeline forward. Cassi’s competence and genuine enthusiasm for our home made the project more enjoyable for me. Many people warned us that building a house can be one of the most stressful endeavors in life... but I had a lot of fun with Cassi in our corner! If we ever build again, we’re calling Cassi!

OMG!! This was the most fabulous experience. I had never hired an interior designer before... thought it was too expensive and my project wouldn't be big enough.... WRONG! Called SKP and spoke with Sondra... so nice on the phone. Vaguely described what I was looking for... (because I really didn't know what I needed!!).. and we made a consultation appointment. Sondra was here for over an hour... and in that time gave me soooo many ideas and recommendations. Small changes... that have made a HUGE difference. I should have called SKP a long time ago!!! I would definitely recommend Sondra/SKP .... Best money I have ever spent on my house. Looking forward to reaching out to her when it is time to redo my bathroom. Sondra helped us pick out our backsplash and house paint colors. She was patient and provided us with many options and samples until we were completely satisfied. We love her work and the new look of our home.

I worked with Sondra for a project at Chikaming Country Club. The club converted a portion of its dining space into a Grille Room. The design leveraged the key features already present, included tasteful materials and converted the space into a highly functional dual purpose room. The project was a tremendous success.

SKP has designed two major projects for us - a complete kitchen and dining renovation at our house in the City and a significant master suite addition at our lake house. Both projects were very well done, far exceeding our expectations for the potential of our homes. These projects were intimidating to us but SKP really helped us get through the process step by step. The owner helped us achieve our vision and brought great ideas to further enhance it. We get endless compliments on these spaces, how great they look, how well they function, how well they fit in with the rest of our property and reflect our tastes. I would not hesitate to recommend SKP to anyone considering a major home improvement project.

I had a horrible experience with this company. I never write reviews, but felt I had a responsibility to warn customers out there. In the middle of the project, the payment schedule was changed unilaterally by the company without my knowing under the pretense that my requests went beyond the scope of what our contract stipulated. I double checked, and no such thing occurred. Everything I requested was on the list on changes I sent them at the beginning of the negotiations. I ended up paying double for one set of drawing, instead of one initial and one correction as agreed upon. And of course to illustrate the owner's lack of detail, she sent me someone else's plan first. rhe major issue that really made me worried about her skills is the sketch made absolutely no senses esthetically. People in my living room would be able to see me in my bathroom. It seems the plan was drawn by someone who just did not know space layout. I was done! Please do not go to this company. Degrees mean nothing. This woman just does not know space. She is an interior designer. Do not let her lay out your plans! Now she was very pleasant, but do not let that fool you. I was fooled myself.

We have been trying for four years to find the right plan for our kitchen remodel. After five different designers, Sondra came through with a beautiful plan. Not only did she bring outside-the-box concepts, but she was there every step of the way to bring our vision to life. We love the results! She has a great sense of the aesthetics and was able to work within our budget and timelines.

What does a retired, interior designer do when she and her husband decide it's time for updates around their home of 20 years? I still have a good eye, but I haven't worked for 10 years! I wanted to make certain I'm not dating our home with old fashioned notions! So I hired Sondra Phillips of SKP Design to consult with us along the way of replacing flooring in all our bedrooms, family room and designing our new kitchen. Sondra has lots of commercial and residential experience and she definitely keeps abreast of what's current! Thanks to SKP, we have a cool, yet practical carpet in our family room we never knew existed. The new-style carpet squares are eco-friendly, too! If we damage an area, we only need replace the damaged squares instead of replacing the whole carpet. It was easy to install around a couch in the same room! Sondra is creative and delightful to work with! Together we made certain the new furnishings coordinated with what is already working and staying in our home! A thousand thanks Sondra for coordinating with and teaching "old dogs new tricks!" We are grateful for your input!

Sondra did a fabulous job designing our new Frozen Yogurt Shop and all our customers are commenting on how nice it looks. Sondra is wonderful to work with and she understands how to work within a budget. She is always is trying to find ways to achieve your desired look while staying within certain price parameters. She has a wonderful dedicated staff who can get you samples in a timely manner and she has many right there in her office. Her newest design venture called Interior Design Schemes is sure to help a lot of do it your self entrepreneurs achieve the professional look for their business without the stress and cost usually associated with interior design.

Sondra helped design my salon 2yrs ago. I needed direction and was on a budget. She not only saved me money, but gave me a look and feel to the space that appeals to both my make and female clients! She asked questions about my desired impressions for the guests and then suggested an informal spa theme. It included a medium sky blue, tan, deep brown, and textures, like a carpet that has a raised wanted pattern. Sondra looked at my floor plan and gave "traffic flow" pattern ideas & suggestions to keep it practical, and provided solutions to give appeal, like her idea of double swinging half doors for our back room. This gave privacy, but not so much that if on break, one would not notice a new guest entering. I found she helped me think through and decide things efficiently. I would not think of doing a space again without her!
