SPACES Interior Design

Judith and Alicia started working with us in August, after we had been working from home for 5 months staring at our brown walls and trying to figure out how we wanted to paint. Despite us being a little outside of their normal servicing area, they took us on and converted our dining room, living room and pool table room into areas way more reflective of who we are. We love the funky and colorful rooms that we could have never created ourselves. Covid has caused a drag on suppliers so the time period was drawn out but it was out of their control. We hope to work with them again very soon!

Judith and I met over the internet, spoke and she was able to creat a beautiful design and furnish my brand new condo taking it from empty to a livable, delightful and workable home. It was amazing to see her create what I was looking for just by our discussions. So glad I hired her! Made my life easy

Judith recently helped us transform our 20-year old house into our dream home. She took the time to get to know us and our tastes. She made wonderful suggestions and did a great job interpreting our vision for the house. Judith was able to incorporate some of our favorite pieces collected over the past 30 years into the new design along with new pieces she selected. Her knowledge of the market saved us hours as she was able to cull down the myriad choices available for flooring, paint, tiles, fabrics and lighting into a manageable amount of choices for us to review. We felt like she understood our style and chose accordingly. She also came up with suggestions and details for things we never would have considered yet ended up loving. The work spanned eight months and included a new kitchen, new master bath, as well as new flooring, paint and window treatments throughout the house. The general contractor, RJT Remodeling, who works closely with Judith was amazing and is a true artisan. The project was well-planned and the schedule was adhered to throughout the project. It has been a great experience working with Judith (and Alicia)! She has great artistry taste and vision and completely transformed our new home! Now it totally feels like home and there are details here and there that I am so happy about each time i look at them. We can't get over the transformation of our place. It was okay before, but now it is just "Wow!" We appreciate that Judith worked within our budget & suggested ways to get the most bang for our buck, like having the kitchen cabinets repainted. I recently retained Judith and Alicia to help me transition from a large home to a small apartment. I wanted simple elegance with a warm touch yet contemporary look, a place I felt complete comfort in the minute I walked in to compensate for my otherwise hectic life. They nailed it. It only took a few conversations, one site visit and their initial design boards were spot on. They listen effectively and executed efficiently. Turnkey simplicity without any complications was critical to me and Judith and Alicia delivered.

We contacted Judith at Spaces Interior Design for help in decorating our "new to us but not new" house in Phoenix. She was fabulous--creative, responsive, reliable, and happy to work within our budget! Now our house is a home. I can't recommend Judith and her partner, Alicia, enough!

I can't tell you how excited we are to finally have a plan for making our home our own! Judith really understood our vision and we could have never never never put this all together on our own. The whole idea of decorating our home has changed from an overwhelming and frustrating notion to a well-planned project where the only overwhelming part is WHICH fun thing to do next. We just loved working with Judith, Jennifer and Pam and can't wait to get started on the next project!

I also had a poor experience with Judith from Spaces Interior Design. I contacted her to give me design recommendations for window treatments for a bank of windows and a sliding door in my family room. Judith told me it would be $395 for an 1 ½ hour design consult, which I agreed to. Judith and her assistant came over and when they left they said I would receive a proposal in the next couple days. I thought the proposal would give me specific design recommendations for the windows. Instead, I received a proposal asking for a $1200 retainer and then she would provide the specific recommendations. The cost of the window treatments, delivery and installation would be extra. So I paid $395 so she could request an additional $1200 for the specific design recommendations? She wanted $1595 total to tell me what to put on a few windows? Needless to say, I decided not to move forward working with Judith.

Judith and Alicia are the BEST!!! I contacted them this past summer to discuss updating my very beige and traditional tract home first floor. I wanted a more modern look but not too modern, with some traditional elements. They understood the look I was going for and then some. Judith and Alicia pulled together a color palette, furniture, accessories, etc that I NEVER would have selected in a million years. They completely renovated my kitchen (without replacing cabinets or changing floor plan) and revamped my family room entertainment niche. The results are astounding! It doesn't even resemble it's formal self. The look is modern yet cozy and comfortable. Everything is beautiful AND functional. There were several times when I wasn't totally sure about a design choice, like the rug in the dining room, but Judith was ALWAYS right. The rug is one of my favorite pieces in the house and is a showstopper! I learned to trust her instincts as she is on point all the time. If you select her as your designer, do yourself a favor and trust her as your results will be that much more spectacular! I will be using her when we are ready to renovate our master suite! She and Alicia were a pleasure to work with and I consider them both close friends now.
