Worst company I have ever done business with. Poor communication with clients and within the company, bid went over by $3500, frequent employee turnover. Owner didn't take responsibility for any mistakes. Job should have taken 2-3 weeks, but ran 4-5 months.

We are sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with us on your project from 2014. I can assure you our team is committed to customer care and satisfaction and we would like an opportunity to discuss this job with you and see if there might be some warranty work that needs to be done. With all the flooding last year there is always a chance repairs may need to be made. I know this is an isolated incident and we take pride in our work and believe it should be a reflection of our company as a whole. I believe we not only typically meet our client’s expectations, but exceed them and I think overall our clients would agree based off our reviews from them. As for the communication, since we have last worked together, we have implemented a construction management software (Co-Construct) that we use with most of our clients now. It is one of the best custom builders software out there today, as it allows us to communicate with each other and the client better and update our team as well as the client about their project. We have received great reviews about this software since we started using it. I am sorry that you feel your project was over budget. The amount that was over was a change order you approved so we could do some grading work on the side of your house that you requested. It was over our initial budget/plan, but again, it was a change order that you approved. I strive to make sure all of our customers are 100% happy with the work we do and service we give. I would like every opportunity to make sure you are happy and taken care of. Please feel free to reach out to me so we can get your issues taken care of.

Although the job took longer than expected Mike and his crew did a great job and were very conscientious. We love our pool Reno. We did hit unexpected problems which required them to do more than originally expected and as a result cost more, we are satisfied so far with the end result.

They did a great job on the renovation of my backyard/landscaping. They were accommodating to all my requests which included redoing a section of concrete steps. I would highly recommend them for landscape projects of any kind.

Mark and Tammy Buthman

David and his One Specialty team built our outdoor living area. From design, through engineering to construction, their attention to detail and delivering on our expectations were front and center. The job required engineering to reset the foundation, design to connect to our house, and integrated landscaping - a really complex project. The team did an awesome job with the stone work, designing the pizza oven and working with contractors on the tv and wiring install. We were engaged throughout the project and would not hesitate to work with them again.

I'm a home designer in the Southlake area. I have used One Specialty on many residential projects including pools, remodels, landscaping and concrete work. I'm always blown away by the quality of their work and their professionalism. I have also used them on my pool, landscaping, stone work and fire pit at my own house. Overall the work was professional from workers to supervision was on point. Work was done as scheduled and always updating what was completed and address needs of concern. Satisfied with the layout both in description weekly and final product. Made a great transformation from where it started... company did an excellent job.

My wife and I hired One-Specialty to revamp and remodel an outdoor living and swimming area. From the design, construction, clean up we found them to be punctual, efficient and all employees were extremely professional and nice. We would highly recommend them for any work you may be considering. They kept us apprised via email on a daily basis about the time they would be at work and also what they planned to accomplish each and every day during the process. There were no costs overruns and they finished the job on schedule even though we had several bad weather days. We can say without hesitation we would not only use One-Specialty again but would highly recommend them for any project you may be considering. Wallace and Karen

Designed and built our pool and deck. Initial designs were more than we wanted, but second version was exactly what we were looking for:simple and functional, but pleasing to the eye and consistent with the design of our house. Communication was excellent during the project; the project manager responded quickly and kept us up to date and involved in issues and progress. Their follow-through and commitment continued post-project, making sure all the loose ends were addressed fully. They provided high value for the money.

This is a very talented and professional company. We had a large back yard lawn and wanted to plant the area to make it into a more interesting garden . I worked with Tyler from the design team and he managed to capture my vision for the garden .The plans were very detailed and easy to use. Tyler spent time with me tweaking the plans to make sure we were 100% happy with the plant selection . The installation process which was managed very efficiently by Shane was great . Everyone who worked on the project was a pleasure to work with and were ver efficient and effective . The company have also been very good with follow up too.. The garden looks amazing I am so pleased we used One Speciality .

Commented: How is this attached to the roof?The pergola is attached to the joists of the roof, then flashing was used to protect from water then shingled. It is an open air pergola and is flat.
