Steve, Brian and all installers were exceptional to work with from first contact to walk through at completion. In the beginning, Steve explained that there would be a wait for design and install but stayed in touch throughout until design was complete. Based on reviews, I was willing to wait. Once on sight, all installers were punctual and kept the sight clean as they worked. In the end, I now have a backyard with gorgeous turf, fire pit area, horseshoe pit, Ninja line and access walkways from fence to fence. I highly recommend this company!

It was a pleasure working with Steve and his team. They did what they said and delivered a great product. We had some changes throughout the project and Steve and his team were able to make everything happen and kept everything fair. We will enjoy our pool for many years to come.

Exceptional service from Steve and Rich. We had a pool installed and everything went smoothly. Our back yard was tranformed into a fabulous getaway at home. Quality and attention to detailed made this project happen without any hiccups. The pool construction was perfect. Pavers were a big part of the project and they were installed very well. Also, Steve was very transparent with direction on planning and cost as well.

We’ve used SM & Co. twice - the first time in 2007 when he and his team designed our backyard from a “blank canvas”, and again in 2023 for a refresh, and installed artificial turf. Both experiences went beautifully! This team handles some huge projects, but they treated our relatively small space as if it was the most important job they had. Steve, Brian and team just a completed a redesign of our backyard with a fire pit and full irrigation system. We are extremely happy with the final product and cannot say enough about the quality of the people we dealt with throughout the project. Steve does not guarantee his trees and shrubs. Pikes does! We had this tree put in November 2020. The following spring it had a few leaves on it but no blooms at all. I knew it was just transplanted and thought I should be patient. I took excellent care of the tree. This Spring it didn’t bloom and is half dead. I contacted Steve. He said very nicely, the warranty has expired. That’s a lot of money down the drain and now we have a dead tree. Why wouldn’t you just buy from Pikes if they have a lifetime guarantee on the their trees? We are very disappointed that this is how he chose to handle this.

We found Steve Montgomery and Company online and asked them to come take a look at our backyard. We had a very interesting back lot that included a dry creek bed and a deck that was falling apart. Along with a multi-level lot that made it unusable (and last but not least a cement culvert that drained the cul-de-sac rainwater into a retention pond directly into our backyard). Steve put together a fantastic plan and Brian and his team from Concept were phenomenal bringing the plans to life (Brian kept promising it was going to be beautiful, and is is). They were great to work with, answered all our questions (and there were a lot) and very respectable with our home and property while working here. I highly highly recommend them to transform your hard . Like I said it turned out beautiful and I can not wait until Spring and Summer to watch it all come to life.

I contacted a dozen local companies to inquire about their services and Steve was the only person who came out to my house and met with me in person to discuss our goals for the project. We found Steve on Houzz and asked him to take a look at our property. We have lived in our home for almost 25 years but we had never moved beyond the original landscaping. Steve drew up a beautiful plan that included a garden path, stone patio with a water feature, a stone path to connect the main level to the terrace level, a new patio on the terrace level, and many new plants.

Excellent service. Steve landscaped our entire front and back yard and one side. He worked within our budget by getting smaller plants and suggesting on things that could wait to be completed at a later time. I have referred him numerous times for people wanting a total landscape redo.

Steve responded very quickly to our request to visit our home and make a proposal on redoing our entire backyard (landscaping, replacing the pool decking and copying, adding a drain, bullding a boulder wall, adding new sod) etc. We had a challenge with the pool decking due to our age of the pool but they were able to come up with a reasonable solution to make it look even better than we imagined. Sometimes you don't know the end of a project when you start but they worked with us along the way to make it a place we LOVE! They are a one stop shop for everything we needed instead of going to 5 different companies. Most of all, they are very honest and Trustworthy.

DO NOT do business with this company. I spent weeks trying to get the owner Steve Montgomery to give me a quote for an outdoor kitchen, landscaping and lighting and all I kept getting from him was "you know we're not the lowest price". He told me this over 7 times while walking my property and when he committed to give me numbers he then tells me "I don't think we're the best fit for you because it seems you want a deal." Now I happen to live in a $1.6M home in one of the most exclusive gated communities in Sandy Springs AND happen to be African American. When I let him know that he was insulting me but continuing to reference the cost without ever giving me the full quote AND then proceeded up on me hang up telling me he doesn't need my business. The worst experience ever by a contractor...well they missed out on a $55k project!

Steve Montgomery and his crew took down our old concrete block retaining wall and put up a beautiful new boulder wall. The boulder wall was Steve’s suggestion. It looks a hundred times better, and turned out to be less expensive. The crew was awesome. Punctual, hard-working, thoughtful, polite, knowledgeable, creative, and easy to work with. Each person showed a desire to make the customer happy. We have a number of plants growing within inches of the wall, but because Steve’s crew was so very careful not one plant was damaged. They showed real artistry building the wall. It is now a delight to look at. Kelly especially is made us feel confident throughout the entire process. She has a unique ability to work with the customers and the crew showing respect to all. She made the whole process easy and the outcome successful. Kelly knows her stuff. From making sure everything was delivered in a timely fashion (ready to go when the work crew showed up) to how long the plywood (used to store building material) could be kept down before it started to kill the grass, to addressing drainage problems, to helping us take photographs for the permit officer. If she didn’t know an answer to a question she would find out. Again great job by all.

Steve’s crew removed a failing concrete block retaining wall and replaced it with a visually more appealing boulder wall. The results were dramatic. What I particularly valued was how little impact there was upon the existing landscape material and lawn.

Steve Montgomery and Company did an outstanding job of designing and installing our custom pool. We had a confined space to work with, and the design perfectly fits our needs.(spa jets and swim jet) Steve and his employees are pleasant and easy to work with. They always responded in a timely manner with returning calls about questions or concerns and coming out to fix “bugs” that naturally happen with a project.

When our house was remodeled and upgraded a few years back, the back yard was left untouched and as a result had turned into a rain forest with a nearly impassible creek splitting the property in half. So last year, we decided to upgrade it with a major project to put in a patio and fix the access to the back part of the lot. We talked to quite a number of people and got several quotes, but in the end, we chose Steve and his company because he instantly felt knowledgeable and sincere and had the background and reviews to stand behind his/their workmanship. We started with bringing in a herd of 38 goats to clear the underbrush, which was cool and only took a few days (we highly recommend goats!). Then we had to remove some trees and some larger brush. In the meantime, Steve had come back with a set of plans that were exactly what we wanted - a natural and appropriate stone patio that would go well with our forested yard. And it included a path across the creek! Once the project started, it was a huge amount of effort for them, and watching the guys haul in giant boulders and hand carve each one to shape was pretty fascinating. The crew carefully placed each stone and used a variety of materials to buld a large patio, a dry creek bed in an area on the side that always flooded, great lighting, a deck expansion, improved drainage and a natural looking staircase down to the creek and up the opposite side. While it took a long time (due to the amount of work, coupled with being the second rainiest year in Atlanta), the end results were well worth it. Our patio is now usable and perfect for bringing friends over. We can go over to the other side of the lot with ease and often go over there just to enjoy the serenity of a little bit of woods in an otherwise highly populated suburban neighborhood. The pictures were taken prior to any plantings, which we will do this spring. We can highly recommend Steve Montgomery for any of your outdoor work.

Hired Steve Montgomery and Company to fix drainage and basically rework the back yard. Included regrading the yard, building a 100 ft retaining wall, and steps on the side of the house. The price was reasonable and was delivered on time and budget. I would recommend them to anyone who needs landscape work.

I looked at a variety of contractors before meeting Steve. Steve was the only one who showed genuine caring in how the final product would look. He brought creative solutions and took ownership on ensuring that the final outcome met my expectations.

I was referred by a neighbor -- My project needed a complete landscape design. I highly recommend Steve Montgomery and Company as I have been extremely pleased with the overall quality, knowledge and professionalism.

Steve was very professional to work with in designing our pond and very prompt in scheduling appointments and providing estimates. He worked with us to ensure that the finished product matched our vision. His installation crew was very careful to not cause any damage to the existing hard scape and plant material. The pond turned out even better than we envisioned. We enjoy it every day and our Border Collie thinks it is his personal swimming pool!

Steve and company put in a stone patio for us this past fall. We were not sure exactly what to do in our backyard. Steve came over, spoke to us about what we wanted to do and then put together a design based on that discussed. He was very open to changing what we liked/didn't like. He created documents that I submitted to the HOA which got approved quickly. We worked out a date. His crew is great, they work very hard and get the job done quickly. We ran in to a small issue and needed an adjustment in the middle of the project, which was not a problem for Steve and Rich. Steve met with us to understand our basic vision of project. Then came back with a detailed drawing of the project and if we wanted to make any changes. Once we had worked out those finer points the project was ready to roll. Steve and Gary did a great job of managing the project. Any concerns that may have arisen during construction were addressed in a timely manner. The results was a fantastic transformation into a backyard oasis of beauty. We are extremely pleased with outcome of our project.

Steve and his team designed and installed beautiful hardscaping at my home and a lovely garden with fountain at my in-laws house. In addition, Steve took care of fencing, drainage, driveways, and every other detail. It took a lot of patience to negotiate the quirks of the approval process and secure permits, but Steve got it done.

Steve designed a built a beautiful outdoor kitchen and screened porch for us. Features include a fireplace, granite countertops and bars, vent hood, infrared heaters and retractable screens.

Steve was very professional and easy to work with. Without much direction from me, he was able to create a beautiful design for our yard that met our needs and greatly improved the look and functionality of our space. Steve Montgomery came to our rescue when we needed to spec out a rain garden that was required by the City of Sandy Springs as part of a room addition. He drew up the plan to submit with the building permit and executed the hard and landscaping quickly. Rich, his on site manager, did a great job of listening to our desires and went above and beyond on his attention to details. We already have some other work in mind for the near future.

Steve, Rich and their crew did an amazing job with our project. We needed a complete makeover including new irrigation, lighting, shrubs, grass, paver walkway and stonework. Due to the scope of the job the cost was far beyond what we had originally expected but Steve found a way to work within our budget and still give us everything we wanted. We look forward to moving onto phase 2 with Steve soon!

Steve, his partner and crews timely replied to all inquiries. Showed up as and when scheduled (often arrived early and stayed late, if necessary). Did the work efficiently and the way we wanted it done; cleaned up all areas, polite, and skilled and gave us a first rate job at a reasonable and appropriate price. We were impressed that, even though this was deemed a "small' job, it was done with attention to detail (and that was "big" to us).

Did work on building a wall next to paved deck which collapsed a few years later. When we asked him to repair it with all intentions of paying for the damage repair, he said "he wasn't interested in such a small job." His attitude is deplorable.

The Sanctuary is the name we use to describe an area between our home and the Chattahoochee River. Steve Montgomery indeed made it a special place -- with pathways, ponds, water features, a pavillion, sitting areas, a fire pit, etc.-- but of equal importance Steve and his staff took a very special personal interest in the process and the end result. They did a terrific job! The project took place between April and September of 2015

Easy to work with, beautiful results! All lead personnel and crew members were competent, cooperative and cordial.
