STAY AWAY!!! They are deceitful, their work is sloppy & they won't take responsibility for the damage they'e done. I've spoken to several local fabricators for help & they have all told me that Stone City has a terrible reputation in the industry. I just want to save anyone else from going through what I've experienced.

Top notch all the way around! Staff and management are very helpful and easy to deal with. They provided great ideas for our last project a few years ago and I am working with them again on a larger project now. Their stone options are unlimited. They also do an amazing job with kitchen and bath design. I have nothing but praise for Stone City, and highly recommend them without any reservation!

Stone City is a great group of people. The showroom exemplifies the high end products they carry, including Realstone System's panels. The design team at Stone City works hard to get our product specified in both residential and commercial jobs. They are a respected dealer in the region.

The people at Stone City did a fantastic job for us. Their selection is great, prices good, and the fabrication time was just what they said it would be from the beginning. The people who installed it were great, and Abigail in the showroom was a huge help, both with our counter as well as then getting the perfect backsplash to go with it once it was installed. She gave us great suggestions and was patient while we made up our minds over several visits. Our new kitchen is almost complete and can't wait to show it off.
Thanks to everyone at Stone City for making it a smooth part of the process and a great end result too!

After searching for granite counter tops, I got 3 bids for the type and style of granite my wife wanted. The first bid was for $4300, a second one for $3700, and Stone City's bid was for $2800. Stone City actually gave us credit for the unused portion of the slab we didn't use! They also let us talk to the granite cutter so we could discuss having the slab cut in a particular way. That was no problem at all with them. They cut all their slabs in their shop. The installers did a great job also. Since the granite would be going up too second floor bathrooms, I was told one piece might have to be cut in two to get the long and heavy piece up the stairs. On delivery day the counter tops were delivered each in one piece. The installer (who also took the counter top measurements) said the granite was too beautiful and he wanted to get it installed in one piece to keep that great look. The install went great, including the backsplash and 3 under mounted sinks. It's beautiful.
This was a great experience and I would highly recommend Stone City to anyone. They were very accommodating and professional including the sales people, the cutter, and the installers.

Stone City installed new granite countertops, sink & faucet in my kitchen in 2007, and they still look great! I bought the sink and faucet online and had them shipped directly to Stone City, so the installers arrived at my place ready to go. At one point, they asked me how I wanted the granite installed around an odd-shaped cabinet, and I told them to do what they would do in their own kitchens, which has worked out very well. During the stone selection process, they had also tactfully recommended granite over marble, more stain-resistant for a kitchen. (I was set on a Martha Stewart-style white marble kitchen, but like to cook red marinara sauce!).
Mine was a small job, interrupted due to a death in my family, but Stone City was patient and professional the entire time, assuring me that the slab I had selected was waiting for me.
I cannot say enough about Stone City's quality products, services and professionalism and would recommend them for any job, big or small. Since stone is 'what they do,' they can be counted on to recommend optimal solutions and are completely trustworthy.

My husband and I just want to THANK YOU for our new granite counter-tops. The entire experience was top-notch and we're very grateful! Special thanks to Evelyn in sales, (she's a gem - incredibly sweet and highly professional) who understood that we were nervous after reading some negative reviews about STONE CITY Kitchen & Bath Design Center and who promised to oversee the entire order from start to finish. (She also explained that they do 1000's of counters and there will always be a few who are unhappy and that, honestly, sometimes mistakes do happen (human nature) but they try their best to avoid them.) Anyway, after the installation of our counters, we noticed the seam was very slightly raised which we worried could lead to chipping down the road. Evelyn had the installers come out the very next day and polish the edge away. The seam is barely noticeable. WE ARE SO HAPPY. Thank you thank you thank you. We'll be back for wall and floor tile!

Stone City did an absolute fabulous job on our new kitchen. We went with black absolute granite and they look great! We also ended up getting a refrigerator through them as well. Very competitive pricing, great selection, and good installation. Highly recommend!

Stone City did the complete installation of our granite counter tops. They were friendly and polite. The process though had too many disruptions. The first installer did not have the correct tools to complete the measuring for the counter tops or the correct understanding of what we had ordered. The second installer was sent to complete the measuring. I didn't mind that they came back a third time with a template to make sure all was well,. but one of the counter tops was still bit off in their calculations and they left a larger then expected space next to the wall and they did NOT caulk the area as expected.
Also the equipment to cut the granite broke down and we had to wait another day before it was installed. i had asked for advise as to when i could schedule the plumber for the next steps and no one told me that the counter tops needed to dry and set for a day. I then had to wait additional days to get my plumber back. Things could have been smoother.
All that said, we do love our new granite counter tops from Stone City.

My husband and I went all over the city of Chicago to find "THE" place to get the job done when we gutted our house. I was so overwhelmed and really didn't know where to begin. I can honestly say that Stone City was the most economical and knowledgeable of all the places and designers we met with to decide our next steps. They were patient with us, listened to what we were looking for, and made sure we stayed within our budget (good luck getting THAT kind of service with a designer or anywhere else for that matter). Never tried to up-sell us and when everything else was behind schedule, they were right there, ready and waiting. Their showcase gave us plenty of ideas to work with and the warehouse (warning: can be overwhelming! So much to choose from! :) had an impressive selection of materials. The best thing about the gal we worked with is that she was able to help us make sense of everything and narrow down what would/would not work for our project - again, very knowledgeable. Thank you, Thank YOU, THANK YOU STONE CITY!! We LOVE our home! :)
