The Tailored Closet

I moved to a new location and updated my closets with The Tailored Closet. Sam Corona was the lead. He came to my home and gave me excellent advice regarding shelving and space. Associates Nick and Henry put the closets in. Both very professional. This morning, Henry came by and finished up the project. Henry was on time, polite and answered my many questions. He included me in all aspects of new placement of items. The end result is that I now have beautiful closets! Thank you all. I will recommend The Tailored Closets to my family and friends. My only complaint is that it took longer than expected to finalize the matter.

To say I’m disappointed with this company is an understatement. I hired Tailored Living to put custom closets in a clients home. To start, incorrect measurements were taken and at the 11th hour a decision had to be made to accommodate for the 9” disparity in which they then tried to push the cost off on my client saying that the material would have been needed regardless and they would have had to pay for it anyway. I don’t disagree but had we known about the 9” extra material needed we could have reconfigured the design and not have 9” or unusable space. During the installation the work was sloppy. They took every opportunity to pass the responsibility on someone else. There’s a reason their systems are guaranteed for life- that’s because you will need them to be coming out for life to fix something that was never properly put in to begin with. We ordered specific drawer sizes, we didn’t get that. We ordered specific depth and shelf height, didn’t get that. The owner, Chris’s excuse is that “no one does it that way” with regard to size or style - I don’t care what anyone else is doing- my client wanted something a certain way and paid for it to be that way but that doesn’t matter to him. My client has had to have them come out 4 times since the system was put in in april of 2022 and it’s august of 22 now and that’s because the pieces haven’t been put in properly. They go to set something in the closet and the floorboard collapses. I would be writing a novel if I listed the amount of issues - As a business owner i know how important reviews are and wouldn’t post something like this unless I wholeheartedly believed this company to Be one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made in hiring an outside vendor. Do yourself w favor and really think twice before you hire them

First time homeowner and wanted a nice garage. When I asked for a quote they came and put in some serious time and effort to spec it all out and give me all the options I wanted and made sure it was going to work and look great. Only drawback was perhaps the lengthy response time but I wasn’t in a hurry. When the day finally came I have to give it up for Curtis, Sean, Mike, Hernan, and Jose. These fellows did some proper work and tackled any issues that arose on site making sure I was informed about the progress and that I was happy with what was going on or changing last minute to something a little different. Overall excellent service and couldn’t be happier.

We live in Salem, OR, and we had Shawn and Tylynn come out to install a ceiling shelf. I really appreciated their friendliness, attention to detail and quality of work. We were able to chat through future options for more shelves to be installed since we have more room in the garage. I look forward to working with them again as we look to become more and more organized.

Love this company!! Chris the owner is very professional and has great ideas! Installation was timely and they left everything clean and neat. I would use again without a doubt.

The first thing we did in our new house was upgrade all 4 closets + pantry. The closets have elevated the spaces in such a functional, beautiful way. Our experience with Chris and his team was top notch. Would highly HIGHLY recommend.

Scope of Project: 2 Garage Cabinets and 2 garage flooring Cost: $19,000 I WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY FUTURE PROJECTS This is the far the worst communication company I have worked with recently. Company staff does not communicate with you or communicate with each other. Very disappointing from the company as they tried to take full payment even the work is not complete and said it was on the contract. I had to argue with the installer to withhold some funding because they did not complete the job. They will always say that it is their corporate manufacture that made a mistake, but regardless communication should have been made. I thought I would have better service than the other company because tailor living was about 20% higher than other competitors, but a very disappointing experience. Recommendation: When writing contracts, the retainer should be kept low and also make sure to take out the clause where the work is not complete, then the final payment will be withheld until work is complete. Also please make sure they have everything and don't expect to receive any service from the owner, once the contract is done and the deposit is made then you will not hear from that person. Absolutely loved the entire experience. The entire process from beginning to end was very easy and efficient. Every single person I dealt with was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. The process was a breeze! Mike streamlined the process and made it very simple in helping us choose a design that fit our needs and budget. He always called or texted to let me know of his arrival time. It took a few times to get the final drawings right but Mike, did an excellent job designing the closet layouts. Having the ability to see the designs in a 3-D format is a plus. Mike always kept me updated, gave an accurate completion time for the closet installation. I had four custom closets (1 reach-in and 3 walk-in) installed in my home. Our installer Harlan was wonderful. Very professional, polite, and very accurate in measuring. Cleaned up everything before he left. He had to make a few adjustments and we are so pleased with the result. I am extremely pleased with all aspects of the closet installation. All individuals involved throughout the process were professional and friendly. They absolutely exceeded my expectations and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend the Tailored Living of Wilmington and West Chester to anyone.

I would give Tailored Living a 10/10! Very professional from the first contact to the finish. They installed an epoxy floor in our garage - they did it when they said they would, they completed it on time and the floor looks perfect. We couldn't be happier with the result.

Will and his crew did an amazing job on our garage floor and installing beautiful powder coated cabinets. Everything was done on the timeline given. His crew are meticulous and professional. The project turned out better than we could have hoped.

We live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Six years ago we had our garage floor done by Premier Garage. Every year we had to call repairs for cracks and chips, and within two years the top shining coating was already gone. Because the multiple repairs, there are different colour patches on the floor. Now the 5 year warranty ran out and we have to spend money again to maintain the floor. Overall the result is way not good as advertised, we are quite disappointed. From the Premier Garage website, it seems the product and work which they supplied is under life warranty, but we were told by our local dealer our floor was only 5 years warranty. It is pretty tricky.

To start, Mike explains the process, set clear timeline, answers all our questions or concerns about the project. He, as well as other members of his team, are very professional, thorough in their work, and complete the job in a timely manner. He even goes beyond the set expectation and fixes a few extra things for us. Overall we are very happy with our new garage floor and would highly recommend Tailored Living.
