35 years in business
Santa Barbara's Award Winning Architectural Firm Since 1985
Dennis Thompson is a native Californian and graduate of architecture schools at Princeton and UC Berkeley. After a diverse career in Santa Barbara designing homes, multi-family housing, and institutional projects, he now focuses on single-family residential design, including remodels, additions, and new homes. His approach to design is eclectic and respectful of client wishes; he believes that design involves a dialogue between owner and architect. Dennis has been one of the leaders in the region’s environmental design movement since the 1970’s. His elevation to Fellowship in the American Institute of Architects in 2017 was based on his “dedicated leadership to motivate colleagues, clients, policy makers, and the public to create a more sustainable future.”
