Square Footage is a detail oriented, full service design firm with a wide range of experience including residential and commercial building design, construction supervision, interior and furniture design as well as graphic design.
From the onset, our intent is to thoroughly analyze and understand the specific issues required to develop a resolution to a variety of design challenges. Exploration of each of these facets of design continually results in informing and expanding the understanding of each other facet of design.
The process is an active collaboration between the client and the designer in order to fulfill the needs and ultimate potential of each design challenge or project.
Our design process intends to result in the act of making a tangible form specifically tailored to satisfy the needs and desires of each client.
Martin Casteran, Associate member of the American Institute of Architects (A.I.A.), founded Square Footage in April 1994 in Santa Monica, California.
Services Provided
Residential Building Design: Our services include conceptual and schematic design, design development, working drawings and structural engineering drawings and calculations for new homes or remodels. Design experience includes Cape Cod, Spanish Neocolonial, Spanish Hacienda and Mediterranean Villa styles. Interior Design: Our designs reflect the individual personalities of our clients as well as the special characteristics of each space.
