We could not have been more pleased with our experience working with TriCrest Homes. We evaluated all the prominent home builders in the DMV area and we were surprised by how few would let us talk to any references. TriCrest immediately stood out - they were willing to let us talk to people that had been living in their custom home for a few years, those that just finished construction and some that were midway through. Each one of those families spoke glowingly about their experience. We were sold. First, and mostly importantly, they are incredibly honest. There wasn't a single instance where I felt something was off or didn't play out like I expected. I had no expectations that they would be so open and transparent about costs and that they clearly explained any changes to the program. Second, they are very precise and organized. This could not be overstated because our build was during the height of covid and there were so many supply chain issues and delays. Chris and team were always on top of any potential issues and ensuring that we made all decisions and placed all orders in plenty of time to avoid further delays and complications. Third, they never pressured us on a single change order after we signed. They were very open and honest about prices and whether they thought something was worth it or not. This was also surprising to us - but their ultimate goal was to create the best house that we also felt comfortable with. This meant that if we wanted something expensive that they thought would look out of place they told us and tried to talk us out of it. Any time there was an issue with pricing or sourcing anything they told us right away and also had alternatives lined up for us that did work. Never just presenting us with a challenge without also having thought through multiple solutions. Again, very unique and appreciated. It was our first time going through a custom home build and we really didn't know what would look good in theory but not in practice. Chris and team always steered us in the right direction. Fourth, they are straight up talented. Chris, Paul and Roza not only had such great ideas that complemented ours but they could actually execute on them. Again, it's not just about good ideas in isolation - they always let us know whether multiple concepts would work well together or not. This is critical for the outcome. We were blown away by how good everything turned out. We laughed several times about how close the actual house turned out to the renderings at the beginning of the project. Lastly, they were incredibly responsive. Both during the build and even afterwards if I have any issue they usually respond within 15-30 minutes and often even stop over in person the same day to check out the issue. We could not have been happier going with TriCrest - just an A+ experience and outcome. You will be very well served working with them on your project!
