Jacky is amazing! She is incredibly knowledgeable in all aspects of her work, design, plants, edibles, sustainability, you name it. She is professional, creative, talented, inspiring and easy to work with. She listens and understands your needs, she kindly guides you. She loves what she does and it shows!

Jacky of Urbafloria created the perfect yards for our family. She is an expert in sustainable landscaping and truly cares about both the client and the environment. We went from a water wasting front yard to one with water saving features (ie swales) and beautiful native plants that attract wildlife. The back yard was also completely transformed into a lush and multi-functional play area for our kids with room for dining and large vegetable boxes. Her creative eye for design maximized our small space to the fullest. I also appreciate that she worked efficiently, finishing just before the COVID stay at home order started. I don't know what I would be doing during these challenging quarantine days without having a beautiful yard to spend so much time in. Thank you so much, Jacky!

Jacky Surber at UrbaFloria is amazing, I'm so glad we found her. She is so knowledgeable, professional and creative. We had been waiting for several years to make a change in our backyard and it wasn't until I met Jacky, that I knew we found someone who understood what we were trying to accomplish. Her "eye" and sense of balance is spot on. She is patient and thoughtful and though we had some ideas of our own, Jacky listened to us and created a plan that incorporated that and many better and fresh ideas that enhanced the whole project. She educated us about using native plants and how they supported the wildlife environment in our area and she introduced us to the advantages of a drip system, composting and mulching. It only took a few months for the plants to fill in, the fruit trees to start bearing fruit and the bees, butterflies and birds to flourish. I highly recommend her, my experience working with her was a pleasure!

Jackie is absolutely the best. Met her giving a course in edible gardening. I wanted to convert areas of lawn into edible plant spaces and she was the perfect fit. She is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. She drew up plans and projected costs and we were off to success. Her crew was timely and thorough. We automated the watering systems and the garden is now flourishing. Can't wait till spring and summer

Working with Jacky was wonderful, and she helped make a difficult, long renovation bearable. We did a major redesign of our back "yard", installing all native plants that are drought-tolerant and wildlife-supportive, and it was no easy feat as we had major hardscaping installation and difficult terrain (I live in the hills, which is never easy for home renovation). Her knowledge of plants, design aesthetic, and personable demeanor was really, really comforting during some difficult moments, and the product is beyond our expectations. We LOVE our new garden, and expect and hope that Jacky will be back for the next phase of our landscaping. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

We hired Jacky to help us design and landscape our back yard. We were particularly interested in making the space safe, enjoyable and interactive for our daughter. Jacky did an excellent job understanding what aspects were important to us in the design. She presented a great plan and was easy to work with when we suggested changes. Jacky also oversaw the actual construction and planting. She did a great job making sure the contractors performed and let us know when we should ask for things to be refinished or modified. Our yard went from being a bit of an eyesore to a great space where we spend time as a family running around and eating from the various edible plants Jacky helped pick. We definitely recommend working with her!

Jacky's vision as a designer as well as her vast knowledge of plants and landscaping made the reimagining of our property a wonderful experience from start to finish. We wanted the property to have a flow and symmetry that highlighted color as well as the indigenous species of plants common in our area. From her idea of a better more efficient irrigation system to her top notch crew, every base was covered. Urbafloria will not disappoint.

Jacky transformed our dingy front yard into a beautiful, meadowy little paradise—with drought-tolerant plants, drip irrigation, and a water-saving rain-garden feature (AKA swale) to boot. Besides having a fantastic design sense, Jacky has an encyclopedic knowledge of plants, and she was wonderful at helping us figure out what we really wanted and how to make it fit our budget. She's a delight to work with—straightforward yet tactful; focused yet adaptable; detail-oriented yet always conscious of the big picture. The contractor she worked with was also top-notch. We love our new yard, and we can't recommend Urbafloria highly enough.

What can we possibly say that hasn't already been said about Jacky and Urbafloria? Her knowledge is so broad with respect to every aspect of our project, from design, to plant selection, addressing watering concerns, aesthetic desires, edibles, attracting and protecting local wildlife, what equipment to recommend for ongoing maintenance, what professionals to work with for installation and maintenance...I mean, the list goes on and on. And adding to all of that a genuine concern about the environment and wildlife, sensitive to budget needs, and being willing to educate us in a very non-judgmental way about making better choices to achieve our ultimate goals and supporting nature - we can't express enough how LUCKY we feel to have found Jacky and how pleased we are with our new outdoor spaces. We are just completing the project now, but I'm confident that over time our garden will continue to flourish into the oasis she helped us to imagine. We will post photos as the garden matures. And on top of everything, Jacky is just super friendly, and smart and personable and easy to get along with. I can't express enough how much value we feel she brought to the relationship. Two years ago Jacky reimagined our entire property with an eye to water usage and sustainability. In the ensuing years the gardens, both front and back have become magical and glorious. We are using about 45% of the water we had been using and she was able keep everything green and lush. It takes time for a garden plan to fulfill itself. Many times landscaping looks good immediately but doesn't mature well. Ours has gotten better and better. Jacky is terrific.

Jacky was very professional and had good ideas. She helped us stay on budget. She is someone who truly cares about the environment and is working to improve it- one yard at a time. I appreciated her input about plants that attract and support local bird and butterfly populations. I love the raised vegetable planter beds that I can see from the kitchen window. The landscaping looks nice now, but I'm also looking forward to watching it mature- I imagine it will be beautiful. Thank you Jacky!

Jacky is at the forefront of sustainable landscape design. She created a beautiful front yard for us incorporating both native and drought tolerant plants. We have two swales that capture rain from our roof and everything is seamlessly integrated. Jacky has a vast knowledge of plants and she is professional,meets deadlines and is easy to work with. Our budget was met and the work was completed in only two days.
