“Shaun has wonderful design sense and an eye for detail, and his work reflects this aesthetic sensibility. He did a wonderful job helping me choose colors, and make the spaces flow into one another. The Venetian plaster is beautiful , and I believe of high quality( although this is the first I have seen up close for more than a glance, so my experience is limited). As always, there are changes that occur and he handled these gracefully. We had major scheduling issues with the other contractors, so hard to comment on the ability to meet deadlines. When I was ready, he already had other work going, so there were waiting times. But as the projected start date kept changing, I can't fault him for not being immediately available. He was responsive for small touch ups after he had finished. My project was not fancy and he did a great job. I think where he really shines is on the more elaborate faux finishes!”

He is intent on coming up with the right colors under different light that both me and my husband like (we like very different colors) and does not mind how many iterations it took. “Jer has installed color treatments and murals for me several times. The most recent was after a complete remodel which convered our living room and kitchen into a great room. In creating a lovely colorwash that tied many of the colors we had in the mix already - the red of the sofa, the soft colors of the outside bricks and the deep ox-blood of the kitchen cabinets, this treatment brought these two rooms together more seamlessly than the architectural changes! The walls seem to dance with color changes as the outside and inside lights change. ALSO Prior to that, Jer did our master suite in a dreamy light scumble, a highlighted niche, and an energetic treatment in the master bath that highlighted and played off the movements and colors in the limestone. BEFORE THAT Jer has also done murals in two homes for us. Several done in the 1980's are still treasured by the 'new' home owner. (We get word from the neighbors!) Those included fabulous canyon scene in the front hallway and a standing loom with partially woven rug which disguised our laundry room doors (which were conveniently rather obvious at the end of the kitchen and half way into the living room). Everyone who visited us was in awe of that work. We enjoyed that for 10 years and still smile when we drive by and see the front door (which Jer painted to look like solid wood) and the mailbox (which is on the house and has a blue-sky and canyon scene like the front hall.) NEXT We are wrapping up another phase of remodeling and eager to have Jer and Patricia back to highlight the new gallery, dining room and hallway.”
