In terms of pricing, among the three quotes that I have gotten, their quote was one of the more competitive ones. When we met up with them, they were able to suggest good ideas to overcome some of the constraints of the flat. For example, they suggested shifting the kitchen opening slightly to accommodate our fridge. On workmanship, no renovation is perfect and there will always be areas that require rectification. We are glad that none of the issues were major. Benson and Rui Qing were quick to get their workers to rectify these issues, such as touching up on paint. Another value-add was that they provided free assembling of the furniture that we got from Taobao. They helped us to assemble our dining table, shoe cabinet, bedframes and study table. Assembling these furniture is no mean feat, as the furniture is heavy and the instructions may not be very clear. By helping to assemble our furniture, we do not need to source for another contactor to do so, thus saving us much time and hassle. Finding a good contractor is essential for a smooth and seamless renovation journey. “Our ID is yomi. She understands the design concept we want and is able to portray our ideas in 3D drawings accurately. Yomi is also fast and prompt in responding to our calls/messages. She helps us match paint colours and gave many good suggestions in general. She went through all the small details (paint colour, cabinet design) with us before the renovation starts. The timeline is well followed through and everything is done on time. Major renovations were done quite fast within 3 weeks. During the renovation period yomi also went on site a few times to check on the progress. After sales service is also good, she will send workers down to rectify most issues quite quickly. Communications between ID and workers need improvement as there is one day we waited half a day and the plumber did not come as arranged. Other than that all is good and would say it have been a stress free renovation period for us.”
