“In 2011, I bought a new construction condo. With the exception of the stove/oven, dishwasher, and water heater, there were no other appliances or furniture. I travel often and never have 4-6 weeks in a row at home - the usual time frame for ordering/receiving furniture. Paula Ables Interiors had done the models for the condo sales office and I love her style. I contacted her, agreed to a budget, and gave her the key. Over a period of a couple of months - this was my time frame - she and her staff did everything from furniture and appliances to hanging (my) art on the walls and painting. At the end, I came home from a long trip and went to my new place for the first time. I was amazed. Everything was in place and looked fantastic. I couldn't be happier and haven't stopped recommending her to my family and friends. The most amazing thing is she actually listens to you, understands you personal style and preferences, and works her magic to produce a wonderful, practical, and liveable home. Over a year later, the design she made for me still works and is easy to maintain as 'showroom' stylish as when she completed it. That is an incredible feat. “Elizabeth helped remodel and refurnish our attached garage apartment. She provided designs and advice for the kitchenette which make it much more attractive and useful, while keeping the integrity of the ADA accommodations. The kitchenette preexisted the original remodel of this space (bathroom, bedroom with kitchenette, and living room) in the 1990s to make the space ADA compliant for a grandparent to live in. Even way back then, when she was a high school student, Elizabeth was able to recommend bathroom fixtures, design details like doorknobs and drawer pulls, tile, and flooring that made the space very comfortable and safe. In the last few months, with her education and experience as a professional designer, she helped us rethink the space in terms of universal design, as a suite suitable for overnight and long-term stays and for multi-generational guests from toddlers to the elderly. It is a multiple-use space, too: it does double-duty as an office space/retreat for my husband and provides convenient and comfortable extra space during parties.
Elizabeth patiently talked us through many different possibilities and helped us make decisions about new wall tile, new flooring, and new fixtures and furnishings. She was careful to work with existing items and to work within a tight budget. She communicated well with the contractors and supervised the demolition, new build, and repainting. The project was completed in November, having taken a total of eight weeks from the first consultations we had with her.
During this eight weeks, she drew and revised plans, talked with the contractor, helped us select paint and tile, advised me on ordering the furniture, fixtures, and accessories, and supervised the project. Her imagination, creativity, knowledge, and experience are not merely worth the cost; she saved us money. While the finished project definitely bears her stamp, it blends with the rest of the house and looks like this is the way it was originally intended when it was first built.”

“Ann Jordan with Village Interiors saved my kitchen! I met Ann after I had met with several contractors and kitchen remodeling companies. Ann had a fresh idea: Ann suggested moving a large air vent from the wall of the kitchen to the ceiling. After that she moved my 'box' refrigerator out of the plan and suggested we install a built in where the air vent had been. This allowed us to place a really nice stainless gas range and vent hood as the focal point of our kitchen in place of the box fridge! (yay!) Her space planning skills are excellent. She also connected us with excellent resources for the job. Our kitchen remodel was a great experience thanks to Ann and we are very happy with the results. We know it adds value to our home.
Ann works with my budget well and helps me prioritize how we spend our remodeling dollars. She helps me look for high quality goods and is great at incorporating our own style into our projects.
