“We have finally found a designed who completely understands us, the way we live, and the style we desire. Our kitchen is the one Peg has featured on this site. It is absolutely perfect for us designed expertly to our requests. Since then, Peg has designed an incredible master bedroom/bath/closet suite for us. We are limited on closet space, but Peg designed with utmost detail the best use of the space for us, designing a new closet for the bedroom. She designed all of the bedroom furniture and bathroom cabinets as well. It is beautiful, comfortable and very clean and contemporary. Peg worked beautifully with the contractor who has done numerous projects for us in several homes. They did not have a prior relationship, but no problems. We like high-end things and that is what we received. All within our budget. I will use Peg for future projects and recommend her to everyone! (Photos are of our kitchen/den project. Master suite photos to be posted in January.)”

“My husband and I finally bought our "Dream House". Built in 1922 it had everything we were looking for but my main requirement was that it was "old". I had visions of restoring it to its glory days! I had carried around a file titled "Old House" for years with pictures of ideas and furniture that I knew I wanted to incorporate into our house. We were only going to redo one bathroom, well maybe two. But as we admired our beautiful old girl, we knew she was worthy of an entire renovation. We had a few rules: update but respect the period in which she was built. And we had to keep the original floors and windows! I needed a decorator/designer who could incorporate my ideas and dreams, in a very tight timeframe, without it losing our ideas and influence. I interviewed several: some could not work within the timeframe, one thought I was too strong-willed and bossy, one didn't think I knew what I was doing. Kelly Johnson said "When do we get started?". It was a fabulous project and experience and became a wonderful friendship. She reined me in when I wanted too much glitz and had just as much respect for the house as I did. It was a perfect match! And it is, no doubt, the prettiest house in Saint Louis/Clayton area. After all, we have couples who leave their picture, name and number several times a month with a letter that says, "if you ever think of selling your house, please call us." “I have been using Jenny Rapp now for almost 3 years. It all began about one week after I moved into our new home. I reached out to Jenny to help me with our family room. It then went from our family room to kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and now we are currently working on a living space in our basement. She was just that good that I felt compelled to use her for each space in our house. It has become our inside joke that each time she comes over I end up asking her about another room which leads to another project. By utilizing Jenny, I have saved so much time and money as she is a one stop shop and is so thorough that everything is perfect on round one. Jenny will win you over with her personality and knowledge of the business. Jenny is always filled with ideas and suggestions, is so easy to work with and there is never any pressure. “Chelsea Smith transformed 2 of our 38 year old original bathrooms into beautiful, comfortable and very serviceable bathrooms. She started by getting to know "our style" and came up with plans that fit our Tudor style house and us. She made the process pretty painless for us to go through. Her installers were honest, talented men and woman that took care of the project under her tutelage. My husband is a DIY kind of guy, but on this project Chelsea Design Company was the way to go! .”
