Unlike all the nightmare experiences many have had with their IDs, working with Ernest on my BTO was nothing short of a dream. Right from the very first meeting, he was professional and patient, working together with us and incorporating our requests while providing his professional expertise on the practicality and aesthetic of certain designs. The whole renovation process was structured and transparent, with a clear timeline of the entire renovation process right from the beginning. Throughout the renovation process, he was the main point of contact and maintained good oversight of all the moving parts within the project. He also provided daily updates of images of the site progress and was very responsive and accommodating to any queries or concerns we had along the way. Ernest is as ernest as his name. He is a sincere and honest guy. He puts himself in a client's position, giving good and practical suggestions on how to cut cost while not affecting the aesthetic. Ernest is a very detailed and super patient man whom assisted us in the design of our beautiful abode. The ideas in which he has suggested were practical without compromising on the aesthetic look of it. The meticulousness is not just shown on Ernest, but to his entire team as well. Besides daily progress update, he will personally do impromptu inspections, making sure that the quality of work delivered is always tiptop. Couldn’t have asked for more as we already had the best service! Engaging Ernest to be our interior designer was the right choice as not only was he responsible & committed towards managing our house renovation project, he was also really passionate & dedicated about his craft. We liked that there was transparency in terms of the quotations he gave us, such that we could pick and choose what kinds of materials we wanted to use for our house with a clear picture in mind of how much it would cost us (unlike most other IDs who simply decided for us in their quotations). We had full control and he never gave us any pressure in having to select any particular or costly materials but instead gave us sound and practical advice, listing the pros and cons of each option to aid us in making our decisions. That aside, we were impressed with his meticulous nature and the great focus on details when it came to working with him. From the most basic of discussions to the design elaborations, he invested considerable amounts of time and effort in drafting, amending and refining the design for us until we were satisfied. Something which really left a deep impression on us was how he took time to really listen to our concerns and see what else he could do to help or make us feel more comfortable and at ease when we had a hard time deciding on something. When he had to make changes for us because we changed our minds, he showed kind understanding and said that ultimately, the most important thing was that we liked it and felt happy and comfortable, nevermind the extra work he had to do. He also specially created a google drive to share all the files which we could refer to anytime, such as the quotation, the design, the timeline, the materials selection, e-catalogues, etc. That was very helpful and made it convenient for us to check on whatever we needed whenever we wanted to. Most importantly, he also gave us a daily progress update on the renovation work done for our house to ensure that we were in the know and also provide us assurance that the timeline was being adhered to. In fact, he tried his very best to bring forward the completion date of our project knowing that we would have a problem with accommodation since we were due to handover the keys of our old house before the new house renovation was done. Even after the handover, he was readily available and whenever we had any questions or issues, he would even come by the house to check it out for us if need be. All in all, we truly appreciated the painstaking efforts Ernest made throughout the whole time we worked with him and definitely highly recommend his services!
