It started with the design & quoting stage. Dragan is a whizz on the CAD program they use & he literally brings your project to life in front of you on the screen. A brilliant concept. Mark was there every step of the way. Mark was also involved when there were issues during the build that needed his input. Cared about the outcome, the build quality, and the client. We didn't agree on everything, but no one ever would on a project like this. Very fair in his approach, and both parties gave a little. (as in the builder & the owner) I would recommend them as a builder. One of the few who will conquer difficult blocks (although ours was flat) and complex projects from start to finish. Highly recommend.”

“I hire Modern Rustic to build a deck on my raised Queenslander. The job they did was amazing, exactly what I wanted and hoped for. They were very fast in completing the job in the time frame they quoted me and the cost was very reasonable! The attention to detail given was great, something that is hard to find these days. I have an old Queenslander and they even patched up some loose ends around the exterior of the house for me. I highly recommend Modern Rustic, I will be definitely using them again for the next job. “My daughter, Kim and myself, Kerry, hired Simon Dale from Greendale Construction, to renovate our home into a more open living plan. With what we wanted Simon went to work. He guttered almost the entire house, took out the kitchen wall and hallway, extended Kims bedroom, redid the kitchen with all new appliances, renovated both bathrooms, retiled the whole house including the painting of it, gave us a new laundry area and within about 3-4 months we had a beautifully renovated home. We are so pleased with the work that was done, so so professional and Simon was so easy to work with because we changed our minds so many times during the Reno, nothing was a problem. “From our very first meeting on site with Patrick and Alfina (Tropical Trend Homes), we have been impressed with Patrick’s passion & knowledge of building in the Tropics. Patrick & Alfina asked all the right questions at our initial meetings with them and Patrick came up with 3 different designs for us to consider, unique to our land and it's odd shape. Once we decided on a design, the design evolved throughout the building phase. We were impressed that the house design was not finalised at the start of the project, like most builders, but was ongoing. Patrick suggested things throughout the build to help make our new home perfect for us and the way we like to live. Having built two houses with other reputable Builders down south, our experience with Tropical Trends was unique and never experienced before. Patrick and Alfina's professional and friendly approach made building our house an absolute pleasure, nothing was too much trouble and Alfina's help with picking all the million and one things you need to decide on whilst building was invaluable, from the paint colour to the tiles and tap fittings. We would have been lost without her to guide us through. The result of all that passion & hard work is our stunning home that has been the recipient of a HIA award for winner of house for our price category(2014). Our home was finished on budget and before time, without any hitches what so ever, any minor things that arose during the build were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our home is amazing, we absolutely love it, it has been so well designed that we still say everyday that we love our house, we have only ever used our air conditioning a few times as we have fantastic breezes that flow through the house all year, we never close any of the windows or doors which makes the house feel even more open and airy, which is exactly what we wanted. Patrick & Alfina's customer service, even well after our home was finished is absolutely and astonishingly rare these days, (we still annoy them to find services and suppliers) as we know that they use only the best. They always have time for us and our queries and questions and we never feel as though they don't have time to help, even though they are always busy with new clients, we still feel loved and valued. The first thing people usually say when they walk in the front door is WOW this is so amazing and beautiful, it's so you. If we were to build again, our first and only call would be Tropical Trend Homes, without any hesitation, in fact we continually tell them that when we win lotto we will give Patrick free reign to design and build us another beautiful home this time with no budget (which would be lots of fun for all, we're sure).
